The footprint of this bathroom remained true to its original form. Finishes were updated with a focus on staying true to the original craftsman aesthetic of this Sears Kit Home. This pull and replace bathroom remodel was designed and built by Meadowlark Design + Build in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Photography by Sean Carter.
Plain & Posh
The homeowners wanted to improve the layout and function of their tired 1980’s bathrooms. The master bath had a huge sunken tub that took up half the floor space and the shower was tiny and in small room with the toilet. We created a new toilet room and moved the shower to allow it to grow in size. This new space is far more in tune with the client’s needs. The kid’s bath was a large space. It only needed to be updated to today’s look and to flow with the rest of the house. The powder room was small, adding the pedestal sink opened it up and the wallpaper and ship lap added the character that it needed

The guest bath at times will be used by up to twelve people. The tub/shower and watercloset are each behind their own doors to make sharing easier. An extra deep counter and ledge above provides space for guests to lay out toiletries.

Most bathrooms would really benefit from an island in the center. The storage here replaces several pieces of furniture and store both clothes on his and hers sides, as well as towels, and accessories. Bathroom Designer Matthew Rao worked closely with both Interior Designer Gay Dyar Shorr and the clients themselves on materials and functional design.
High Touch Remodeling
Complete Bathroom Relocation.
In this space we completely relocated the bathroom to allow maximum flow. We swapped the vanity and toilet location and installed a custom white oak cabinet and a marble countertop.

Shepel Homes - Kitchen and Bath
In this home addition construction project, we converted an unused deck into a space that is more functional and practical.
This room addition which includes its own bathroom now stands on what was previously an empty deck on the main floor. The room features water-resistant vinyl flooring while the bathroom’s highlight is the beautiful shower tilework made of dark grey ShadeLines tiles from the Sant’Agostino Shadebox collection.
