This home is ideally situated overlooking a golf course fairway and beautiful Lake Scugog. All it needed was a great kitchen to work in and take advantage of the views. We started with new HDF cabinetry finished in the custom chosen Benjamin Moore colour. Extra height upper cabinets were used with crown extended right to the ceiling, follwed by Cambria quartz countertops and a glass backsplash to finish it all off. While we were at it, the fireplace surround was also done in quartz matching the countertops. The end result is a beautiful kitchen that really compliments their home and lifestyle.

Although the home is in its 100th year, the owners wanted to create an updated urban style reflective of their downtown location. The new styling, while sleek and contemporary, kept a traditional feel with a paneled door styling, crystal chandeliers and an updated glass version of subway tile. We were also able to create an open kitchen with a 3’8 ½” x 7’ 5 ½” island centered on a gourmet Wolf cooking area.

The DIVA COLLECTION combines technology, the warmth of wood, the use of modern materials, and the feelings that only natural materials can convey with their matte surfaces. Examples include fine walnut and the strongly accented grain and porosity of a wood such as oak, which offers the tactile sensation of natural wood. Thanks to special processing, a “mirror” effect can be created using polyester surfaces on ebony or walnut. Specifically, the veneer is given a gloss finish with five coats of waxed polyester varnish (the edges receive some ten coats of varnish) to obtain a unique, prestigious product.

A dramatic space was whaty we were going for when we designed this condominium for our client. We created exactly what he had hoped for and more with a simplistic enviroment. From the netruals of taupe and graythe the pop of color in the art work we have achieved what we set out to do. Most of the furnishings are custom built and all of the pieces were finished just for our client. This makes the look one of a kind.

The designer reorganized the kitchen’s perimeter by closing off a door to the dining room, which now functions as Andrea’s office. She also removed the wall and cabinets separating the kitchen from the living room, significantly changing the feel of the space.
A large, black-base island features a seamless white quartz top and waterfall edges, a visual contrast to the black counters and white cabinets along the perimeter.
Gold hardware and fixtures pop against the background, with a few copper accents mixed in. Andrea knew she’d go this direction when she walked through Wilson Lighting and saw the pendants that reminded her of Christmas.
