4. Split-Complementary Blues and purples are splitting the complement of the opposite color, yellow. By splitting the complement, more opportunity to include more hues in a space can change the dynamics of the room, and make certain hues pop out. In this room, a calming and grounded mood is working with pops of yellow which brings in just a little bit of light and energy.
