Applying cool-toned colour, such as grey, can give depth and a more calming character to your bright living space. As an accent to your space, add a few simple black wrought iron furniture to store your belongings and small indoor plants to give a hint of nature. For a more flexible lounging area, arrange a modular sofa in corresponding colours on top of your light wood laminated floor. This keeps your space in balance, maintaining its lightweight feel and having its bold character in the same time.

In a small corner of a very large open-space, a secondary and more welcoming sitting area invites us to relax and socialise without the distraction of a TV, which is in a different part of the room. Though this room is in the lower-ground level of the home, proximity to terrace doors leading outside as well as two roof lights directly above it, make this the brightest corner of the entire room.

Full playroom design, the client's brief was to create a vibrant functional space where their children could play, do homework and relax. The bespoke window seat and built-in units provide essential toy storage. All the furniture is custom-made so that it fits perfectly, presenting layers of interesting textures and colour.

Another view into the cosy yet clean living area from the dining nook. The large coffee table has shiny aluminium legs with a faux shagreen ochre coloured top. The tailored sofa is covered in a pale blue linen with cushions in complimentary colours. Framed photographs of Central Park in NYC sit happily on the wall to remind the owners of their other home. Art Deco style club chairs are covered in a cream leather. The walls are painted in a rich mustard which exudes the warmth that is all around in this region of Spain.

Nestled in the heart of Los Angeles, just south of Beverly Hills, this two story (with basement) contemporary gem boasts large ipe eaves and other wood details, warming the interior and exterior design.
