This Main Line Philadelphia dining room features Empire Regency Design, custom window treatments and an antique rug. The custom made 70” round table opens to a 120” oval. The carpet is a French Aubusson carpet. The chandelier is an antique purchased in Charleston, NC. , The French doors have inset mirrors which create a nice reflection of the room. The chairs are black lacquer Regency dining chairs from Lewis Mittman. The ceiling is painted in an antique aged gold color.

The clients had purchased the table and chairs for their previous home . They fit well in this space, thus we recovered them in the lush cut velvet from Designer's guild. They are now show stopping. The paint is #6861, "Radish" by Sherwin Williams.

One of a variety of stained glass windows in this Victorian Era home, all of which have now been fully restored! This one was unearthed from the inside of a walled in area; a hidden gem - with a bountiful fruit basket imagery. Queen Anne Victorian, Fairfield, Iowa. Belltown Design. Located on the flat of Beacon Hill, this iconic building is rich in history and in detail. Constructed in 1828 as one of the first buildings in a series of row houses, it was in need of a major renovation to improve functionality and to restore as well as re-introduce charm.Originally designed by noted architect Asher Benjamin, the renovation was respectful of his early work. “What would Asher have done?” was a common refrain during design decision making, given today’s technology and tools.

I added a faux finish in an energetic red to the elegant dining room, which is complimented by the harmonious textures of the taupe and grey fabrics and a beautiful rug.
Custom Drapery Workroom
Beautiful multi-layered window treatments made by Custom Drapery Workroom. Bringing a rich and bold character to the dining room the drapes hung purposely. The bold red walls were complemented by the boldness of the ornate draperies. The naked window was missing an element that gave the room an emptiness. Covered with Austrian shades, drapery panels, custom valances, and delicate artisan talent... the room burst with liveliness.
