APARTMENT BERLIN VII Eine Berliner Altbauwohnung im vollkommen neuen Gewand: Bei diesen Räumen in Schöneberg zeichnete THE INNER HOUSE für eine komplette Sanierung verantwortlich. Dazu gehörte auch, den Grundriss zu ändern: Die Küche hat ihren Platz nun als Ort für Gemeinsamkeit im ehemaligen Berliner Zimmer. Dafür gibt es ein ruhiges Schlafzimmer in den hinteren Räumen. Das Gästezimmer verfügt jetzt zudem über ein eigenes Gästebad im britischen Stil. Bei der Sanierung achtete THE INNER HOUSE darauf, stilvolle und originale Details wie Doppelkastenfenster, Türen und Beschläge sowie das Parkett zu erhalten und aufzuarbeiten. Darüber hinaus bringt ein stimmiges Farbkonzept die bereits vorhandenen Vintagestücke nun angemessen zum Strahlen. В санузле на втором этаже так же использована плиточка и мозайка в стиле пэчворк в сочетание с однотонной белой плиткой, уложенной под 45 градусов. Стены так же были выкрашены в оттенки кофе с молоком, и такой же цвет подобрался для затирки фоновой плитки. Так как основные спальни располагаются все на верхнем этаже, было решено сделать 2 раковины, и установить и ванную и душевую кабину.

One of the focal points of this gorgeous bathroom is the sink. It is a wall-mounted glass console top from Signature Hardware and includes a towel bar. On the sink is mounted a single handle Delta Ashlyn faucet with a chrome finish. Above the sink is a plain-edged mirror and a 3-light vanity light. The shower has a 12" x12" faux marble tile from floor to ceiling and in an offset pattern with a 4" glass mosaic feature strip and a recessed niche with shelf for storage. Shower floor matches the shower wall tile and is 2" x 2". Delta 1700 series faucet in chrome. The shower has a heavy frameless half wall panel. Bathroom floor is a true Carrara marble basket weave floor tile with wood primed baseboard. A leaky garden tub is replaced by a walk-in shower featuring marble bullnose accents. The homeowner found the dresser on Craigslist and refinished it for a shabby-chic vanity with sleek modern vessel sinks. Zebra wood cabinets were used in this powder bathroom to make this room stand out. The flat doors, the linear lines and the hardware all help make this floating vanity more like furniture than like traditional cabinets. The round mirror above offers great visual contrast and the chandelier chosen is a show stopper. Topped with a black quartz countertop and a white vessel sink, this vanity is one that all guest will remember.

The family bathroom is quite traditional in style, with Lefroy Brooks fitments, polished marble counters, and oak parquet flooring. Although small in area, mirrored panelling behind the bath, a backlit medicine cabinet, and a decorative niche help increase the illusion of space. Photography: Bruce Hemming
