The Jack and Jill bathroom received the most extensive remodel transformation. We first selected a graphic floor tile by Arizona Tile in the design process, and then the bathroom vanity color Artichoke by Sherwin-Williams (SW #6179) correlated to the tile. Our client proposed installing a stained tongue and groove behind the vanity. Now the gold decorative mirror pops off the textured wall.

This project was a refresh to the bathrooms and laundry room in a home we had previously remodeled the kitchen, completing the whole house update. The primary bath has creamy soft tones and display the photography by the client, the hall bath is warm with wood tones and the powder bath is a fun eclectic space displaying more photography and treasures from their travels to Africa. the powder room featured a traditional element, too: a vanity which was pretty, but not our client’s style. Wallpaper with a fresh take on a floral pattern was just what the room needed. A modern color palette and a streamlined brass mirror brought the elements together and updated the space.

All this little gem needed was a facelift. We utilized a dynamic black and white tile on the floor to jazz it up and continued the incorporation of warm woods and pops of color that we brought into the rest of the home.

Our client Alexandra Becket got her start as a textile designer and has had her wall hangings, paintings and home accessories shown at galleries around her LA hometown. In 2010 she and her husband, Greg Steinberg launched ModOp Design, a home renovation company. A recent project is near and dear to them—their own home in the the Beverly Grove area of LA. It’s near and dear to us at Granada Tile, too—they covered a bathroom floor in cement tile in our Echo Collection’s Sofia pattern.
