Holly Spaulding for Ethan Allen of Fredericksburg
Working with the existing rug, I updated this federalist home to reflect a new purpose of entertaining and family use. Using the rustic console to support buffet lamps created a well lit and functional area for TV viewing. An over sized coffee table joins both sides of the wide room yet leaving an open traffic pattern.

The handmade rugs in these two spaces were the inspiration for the wall color. These spaces have close to a 100 giraffes with about the same amount of handmade African baskets and artifacts. The window seat has numerous hand made colorful fabric pillows. It is a happy and playful room.

Many people are given items from their family that they want to display but don't understand how. This family enjoys tea. Having the ability to refresh a cup of tea next to a conversation area makes family time never want to end.
