The den which initially served as an office was converted into a television room. It doubles as a quiet reading nook. It faces into an interior courtyard, therefore, the light is generally dim, which was ideal for a media room. The small-scale furniture is grouped over an area rug which features an oversized arabesque-like design. The soft pleated shade pendant fixture provides a soft glow. Some of the client’s existing art collection is displayed.

This more intimate sitting area is off the kitchen / bar and overlooks the back yard. The wicker chairs are a great place to drink coffee and read the paper in the morning. The seating area looks toward both the fireplace and the TV for a cozy spot for the couple's alone time.

This colorful, bohemian home in San Jose pays homage to the resident's Indian heritage while still reflecting their modern lifestyle. These clients were very hands-on and were very involved in every part of the design plan. The most enjoyable part was sourcing one-of-a-kind items from artisans from around the world. Local artist JC Riccoboni drew the golden Tree of Life mural in the library, drawing inspiration from a book of contemporary Indian interior design borrowed from the client's library.

We designed this family room in a space which does not get much light, and is long and slightly narrow. It has a sloped ceiling so we painted it white and put in LED lights. The blue and white theme is evident in the dark accents walls, fabrics and velvet sofa. A black edged sisal rug grounds the seating area, and the tortoise roman shades add to the ethnic feel of the room. The TV is hidden in a carved armoire made from old teak ships. Charcoal gray behind the book cases and a gray carved mirror added more sophistication to the space.

Note the large number of wide windows in this family room. Thanks to these windows, a lot of sunlight easily enters the room, and the room is always filled with light in the daytime.
The eclectic design style used in this room obviously requires a lot of light not only during the daytime, but also in the evening. That’s why our interior designers primarily focused on lighting. You can see several different types of lighting here that create a welcoming and warm atmosphere in the room.

A Bohemian and eclectic interior was the brief given for this project. Layers of beautiful textiles, patterns and lots of colours were used extensively in this home to create unique and stunning living spaces.
