The Ardent Gardener Landscape Design
Powder coated, heavy gauge aluminum makes for striking beds in this small, formal herb garden. Compact size makes it just right for growing only what is needed. It is a focal point in the garden, and a much loved, lived in space for the homeowners'.
Sycamore Design
When the homeowners contacted Nancy Shanahan
of Sycamore Design, they wanted to enlist her expertise for one goal: to provide screening from the neighboring school and its construction projects. Little did they know, this small assignment would open the door to an
ongoing series of projects culminating in a garden that celebrates the seasons while supporting their family activities.
Both a tranquil respite and a platform for entertaining guests, these outdoor spaces are an extension of the homeowners' vibrant personalities, reaching playful functionality with the use of texture, movement, color, and even edibles. Their garden thrives today and continues to evolve with the recent addition of a cutting garden, a
sunken spa to replace their trampoline, and a fire pit to activate the area beneath their majestic oak tree.
California Eco Design, Inc.
This is a Roberto Burle Marx- inspired design, a drought tolerant landscape that imitates the vibrant colors and patterns of the tropics. We kept the monstera and bird of paradise plants, and with the colorful trim on the house, it all works together in this eclectic mashup.

Ross NW Watergardens
This is how Ross NW Watergardens conquers steep slopes. Wood steps with boulders and gravel.
This property in Lake Oswego, Oregon has a backyard that is almost all steep hillside. Using wood timbers and stones we are able to create winding pathways that make the space walkable. The boulders hold the steps in place and retain the slope at the same time.

Attraction Lights
These Swirls 4x4 Bollards are used for driveway lighting on this residential project. The bollards are 37 inches tall and thus, they still "clear" most Minnesota snow banks in the winter! All our bollard lights mount on concrete piers for great stability, too! These landscape lights provide artistic sculptural markers for the driveway, day or night. Gravel from an old driveway was repurposed to create a garden path in the side yard. Hornbeam trees create privacy between the closely spaced homes.
