FAMILY ROOM WITH MOHAIR SECTIONAL , CUSTOM HAND MADE TENCEL RUG, SCULPTURAL COFFEE TABLE
Touie, Inc.
Located in the desirable San Francisco Bay, CA this room is full of family memories. It blends European, Asian and African elements creating a rich and culturally diverse look.
The client has lived in Spain for many years and wanted the room to be casual, comfortable with pops of color. They have traveled extensively throughout the world and collected a few furniture pieces, rug and home accessories that were required to be incorporated into the space.
We decided to bring the most memorable elements and enhance the color scheme with bold, bright and soft hues of reds, yellows and grays. In the end, the room became a true reflection of the owners’ eclectic taste, personality and life history.
The atmosphere is rustic, yet coexists harmoniously with some modern elements. An invitation to enjoy and relax just like when they were living in Spain.

Simply Home Decorating
The owner of this suburban townhouse was looking to decorate her space in a clean contemporary style. Her main priority was to accommodate her large extended family in the tiny family room off the kitchen where everyone always gathers. We maximized the seating with an apartment sized sectional that seats six, added a compact armless occasional chair in the fourth corner of the room and provided two ottomans that can be stored against the wall and brought out for extra seating when needed. A palette of grays and warm walnut wood tones are punctuated with hits of orange and fuchsia in changeable items like toss pillows and throw blankets. Level Two: The family room, an area for children and their friends, features a classic sofa, chair and ottoman. It's cool, ergonomic and comfy! The bear-shaped shelving adds an element of fun as an accent piece that's also practical - it's a storage unit for DVDs, books and games.
