Darci Hether New YorkDarci Hether New York
This three-story Westhampton Beach home designed for family get-togethers features a large entry and open-plan kitchen, dining, and living room. The kitchen was gut-renovated to merge seamlessly with the living room. For worry-free entertaining and clean-up, we used lots of performance fabrics and refinished the existing hardwood floors with a custom greige stain. A palette of blues, creams, and grays, with a touch of yellow, is complemented by natural materials like wicker and wood. The elegant furniture, striking decor, and statement lighting create a light and airy interior that is both sophisticated and welcoming, for beach living at its best, without the fuss! --- Our interior design service area is all of New York City including the Upper East Side and Upper West Side, as well as the Hamptons, Scarsdale, Mamaroneck, Rye, Rye City, Edgemont, Harrison, Bronxville, and Greenwich CT. A beautiful home in the Arcadia area that needed a new fresh look with all new furnishings. The space is grounded by a large sofa with chaise in a textured navy fabric with custom pillows to add the detail and extra detail. Kravet Chairs in a soft taupe chenille not only offer comfort but a great new fresh stylish look. Additional furniture pieces were added specifically to add texture, pattern and other elements to create a custom cohesive design and look for the client. photography by: Joshua Caldwell

GIL WALSH INTERIORSGIL WALSH INTERIORS
An accomplished potter and her husband own this Vineyard Haven summer house. Gil Walsh worked with the couple to build the house’s décor around the wife’s artistic aesthetic and her pottery collection. (She has a pottery shed (studio) with a kiln). They wanted their summer home to be a relaxing home for their family and friends. The main entrance to this home leads directly to the living room, which spans the width of the house, from the small entry foyer to the oceanfront porch. Opposite the living room behind the fireplace is a combined kitchen and dining space. All the colors that were selected throughout the home are the organic colors she (the owner) uses in her pottery. (The architect was Patrick Ahearn).

This large living and dining area is flooded with natural light and has gorgeous high ceilings and views of the garden beyond. The brief was to make it a comfortable yet chic space for relaxing and entertaining. We added pops of colour, textures and patterns to add interest into the space.

From foundation pour to welcome home pours, we loved every step of this residential design. This home takes the term “bringing the outdoors in” to a whole new level! The patio retreats, firepit, and poolside lounge areas allow generous entertaining space for a variety of activities. Coming inside, no outdoor view is obstructed and a color palette of golds, blues, and neutrals brings it all inside. From the dramatic vaulted ceiling to wainscoting accents, no detail was missed. The master suite is exquisite, exuding nothing short of luxury from every angle. We even brought luxury and functionality to the laundry room featuring a barn door entry, island for convenient folding, tiled walls for wet/dry hanging, and custom corner workspace – all anchored with fabulous hexagon tile.
