Functional storage solutions

The space was quite generous so a large galley style seemed the way to go with the sink in the island and facing the family area. Entertainment was a common thing in this household and therefore we needed to cater for large gatherings, which normally means multiple appliances and above average bench space. We comfortably managed to get all these in. Within the kitchen itself, we catered for 2 ovens, large induction cooktop and undermount rangehood; fridge opening allowed for new future fridges, but currently catering for the existing ones, with ample wine storage running down each end of the fridge cavity. A “must have” in the clients brief was a table seating 2 incorporated somewhere within the design; which we included at the end of the island run and supported by a custom made stainless steel frame. Due to the length of the rear bench, Solid Surface was chosen to create a seamless look without joins; this was complimented by a Caesarstone benchtop to the island bench and drop down table.
