We turned this eyesore into the envy of the neighborhood! This highly visible hillside was the focal point upon entering thru the gated entrance of this home. Now the owner and guests enjoy a seasonal display of color and texture rather than a weed filled boring hillside. Added bonus is that the plants are all drought tolerant, low maintenance and support pollinators. Bees, butterflies, hummingbirds and beneficial insects add additional interest.

This fountain is a great addition to a front yard entry. Clean and simple with a subtle water noise for visual and auditory interest. The fountain is surrounded by boxwood hedges, Mexican Beach cobble, and white precast concrete.

About:
Tom Williamson Landscaping, Inc.
Simple. Elegant. Landscaping.
When preserving or remodeling your outdoor inspirational gardens, entertainment areas, or read-a-book oasis, you can rely on a professional landscaper for the best in beautiful design. As your advocates, they shop multiple nurseries to ensure that you get the healthiest of shrubs, trees, flowers, ground cover, and seed for your installations. Other design elements professionals consider are strong defining rock walls, delightful three-season blooming beds, and healthy rolling lawns. Plus, their planning and project management are additional skills that significantly affect the look and life of your garden.
Years of experience and training and working alongside horticultural experts develop the important skills of the trade. But, the ability to turn a home into a representation of the family’s successes and accomplishments is the artistry that only a seasonal professional landscaper can deliver.
Welcome to Tom Williamson Landscaping. We design, install and maintain brilliant gardens and lawns, providing this high level of beauty. Our 30 years of servicing Westchester County’s fine homes and families is a testament to our ability to listen and respond to your visions and needs. We have the artists, the muscle, and the management to provide — not only gardens and lawns your neighbors will envy — but the “experience” that ensures you hired the right landscaper.

Weather House is a bespoke home for a young, nature-loving family on a quintessentially compact Northcote block.
Our clients Claire and Brent cherished the character of their century-old worker's cottage but required more considered space and flexibility in their home. Claire and Brent are camping enthusiasts, and in response their house is a love letter to the outdoors: a rich, durable environment infused with the grounded ambience of being in nature.
From the street, the dark cladding of the sensitive rear extension echoes the existing cottage!s roofline, becoming a subtle shadow of the original house in both form and tone. As you move through the home, the double-height extension invites the climate and native landscaping inside at every turn. The light-bathed lounge, dining room and kitchen are anchored around, and seamlessly connected to, a versatile outdoor living area. A double-sided fireplace embedded into the house’s rear wall brings warmth and ambience to the lounge, and inspires a campfire atmosphere in the back yard.
Championing tactility and durability, the material palette features polished concrete floors, blackbutt timber joinery and concrete brick walls. Peach and sage tones are employed as accents throughout the lower level, and amplified upstairs where sage forms the tonal base for the moody main bedroom. An adjacent private deck creates an additional tether to the outdoors, and houses planters and trellises that will decorate the home’s exterior with greenery.
From the tactile and textured finishes of the interior to the surrounding Australian native garden that you just want to touch, the house encapsulates the feeling of being part of the outdoors; like Claire and Brent are camping at home. It is a tribute to Mother Nature, Weather House’s muse.

The client had a dream house for a long time and a limited budget for a ranch-style singly family house along with a future bonus room upper level. He was looking for a nice-designed backyard too with a great sunroom facing to a beautiful landscaped yard. One of the main goals was having a house with open floor layout and white brick in exterior with a lot of fenestration to get day light as much as possible. The sunroom was also one of the main focus points of design for him, as an extra heated area at the house.

Nasturtium, an edible flower, and squash blossoms, also edible, intermingle beautifully in the raised garden bed.

Arbordale Landscaping
Stepping stones in a minimal gravel paved area lead past two lounge chairs to the intimate dining area. The herringbone-patterned limestone patio dissipates into a lush planting bed filled with loose swaths of shade-loving perennials and seasonal bulbs. Beech hedging, and formal clipped evergreens, surround the space and provide privacy, structure and winter interest to the garden. On axis to the main interior living space of the home, the fountain, is the focal point of the garden. A limestone water wall featuring an engraved pattern of fallen Honey Locust leaves nods to the centrally located mature Honey Locust tree that anchors the garden. Water, flowing down the wall, falls a short distance into a pool with a submerged limestone panel. The light noise of the falling water helps soften the sounds of the bustling downtown neighbourhood, creating a tranquil back drop for living and entertaining.
