Our client asked for a kitchen that would be big enough for their extended family, and that encompassed a modern design approach, in line with their home’s contemporary architecture. They wanted modern materials, sharp, clean lines, and a look that played on bold forms. Practically, they requested substantial bench space, ample storage, and a kitchen that related to the interior flow and exterior pool and entertainment areas – all using a clean, crisp palette, with exposed concrete walls as the backdrop.
Nip Tuck Remodeling
With a busy work schedule and family life, our clients were in need of a kitchen and main floor renovation. A wall was removed which opened up the kitchen to create a larger work space for the family.
To create some continuity with the new kitchen, the living and family rooms were also given an update.

Just off the kitchen is the butler pantry with glass fronted cabinets for showing off the owner's crystal collection. White cabinets stand in contrast to oil-rubbed bronze cabinet pulls.

This kitchen remodel emphasizes blending the old with the new. The room features custom painted and glazed cabinetry with beautiful quartzite counters and antique silver leaf glass tile. The mirror-plated stainless hood was specifically designed with a contemporary but traditional feeling in mind. A custom hutch with leaded glass panel doors showcase the client's serveware. Heirloom antique accessories and furnishings paired with the modern finishes complete the space. Blu Fish Photography

The kitchen is our client’s and her daughter’s domain as they frequently cook and bake alongside each other. She requested separate zones for baking and cooking for ease of cleaning and to make time together more efficient and enjoyable.
