What started out as a kitchen reno grew into a main floor renovation very quickly.
The living room at the front of this house was relatively unused as it was awkwardly accessed near the front door away from the kitchen/living area. To solve this we opened up the walls creating a large staircase to the now connected living room. Laundry moved downstairs just off the garage and the family room was also given an update. The kitchen, the start of this whole endeavour was beautifully redone with a substantially larger island with seating. Exterior door and windows in the back were moved and made large which allows for more light, and in this case a large kitchen perimeter for this family that loves to entertain.

This cozy coffee bar is nestled in a beautiful drywall arched nook creating a quaint moment to be enjoyed every morning. The custom white oak cabinets are faced with reeded millwork for that fine detail that makes the bar feel elevated and special. Beautiful marble with a mitered edge pairs nicely with the white oak natural finish. The new faucet from Kohler and Studio McGee was used for the bar sink faucet. This light bright feel is perfect to set that morning scene.

This built-in home bar adds storage and function to the lounge area off of the kitchen and living rooms. The mosaic tile backsplash adds a unique flair.

The large picture window allows a ton of natural light to pour into the space and brighten up the two-tone cabinetry. With raised panel cabinet doors, the kitchen is traditional and matches the elegant style of this comfortable home. The back of the kitchen has a small dry bar, while the front has a dedicated coffee bar - not to mention the awesome pot filler at the range!

This is the perfect example of how a designer can help client's think outside the box. Nothing really lines up, but it all works. Photos by: Rod Foster

This petite beverage nook is a luxurious feature and is conveniently located near the kitchen eating areas. To boost the function of this wet bar, it is designed with a built in wine rack, over head storage cabinets, and a trendy glass door, stainless steel mini fridge. We used the same high quality elements as the rest of the kitchen, including the mosaic backsplash, granite countertop, and under cabinet lighting.
