Interiors by PopovHaving two young boys presents its own challenges, and when you have two of their best friends constantly visiting, you end up with four super active action heroes. This family wanted to dedicate a space for the boys to hangout. We took an ordinary basement and converted it into a playground heaven. A basketball hoop, climbing ropes, swinging chairs, rock climbing wall, and climbing bars, provide ample opportunity for the boys to let their energy out, and the built-in window seat is the perfect spot to catch a break. Tall built-in wardrobes and drawers beneath the window seat to provide plenty of storage for all the toys.
You can guess where all the neighborhood kids come to hangout now ☺
DEMESNEThe simple volumes of this urban lake house give a nod to the existing 1940’s weekend cottages and farmhouses contained in the mature neighborhood on White Rock Lake. The concept is a modern twist on the vernacular within the area by incorporating the use of modern materials such as concrete, steel, and cable. ©Shoot2Sell Photography
Figura Kitchens & InteriorsA country kitchen designed for a food loving family. Designed with a chopping station at the end of the island for the cook to be preparing the meals close to the Aga. This kitchen also boasts a fantastic cellar from the Spiral Cellars Company.

Canterbury Design Kitchen InteriorsThis handmade custom designed kitchen was created for an historic restoration project in Northern NJ. Handmade white cabinetry is a bright and airy pallet for the home, while the Provence Blue Cornufe with matching custom hood adds a unique splash of color. While the large farm sink is great for cleaning up, the prep sink in the island is handily located right next to the end grain butcher block counter top for chopping. The island is anchored by a tray ceiling and two antique lanterns. A pot filler is located over the range for convenience.
Hursthouse Landscape Architects and ContractorsThe woodland strolling garden combines steppers and shredded bark as it winds through the border, pausing at a “story stone”. Planting locations minimize disturbance to existing canopy tree roots and provide privacy within the yard.

The 10' AG Millworks doors open out onto the California Room.
Stewart Culler HendrixThis small bathroom maximizes storage. A medicine cabinet didn't work due to the width of the vanity below and the constraints on door width with factory cabinetry. The solution was a custom mirror frame to match the cabinetry and add a wall cabinet over the toilet. Drawers in the vanity maximize easy-access storage there as well. The result is a highly functional small bathroom with more storage than one person actually needs.
