Lowe's of Lewistown, PALowe's of Lewistown, PA
The client came to Lowe's and wanted to do this project only if it could be completely different from the original kitchen. The sink and stove were left in their original places, to avoid additional installation costs, but a peninsula was removed, and the the wall to the left of the stove was extended to make room to place the refrigerator at the end. The peninsula was removed and an island was placed. The client has 3 large dogs and wanted to have the waste-basket out of their reach. Since stock cabinets were being used, we used Rev-A-Shelf items (both in stock and special order) to provide storage and organization. Also to maximize storage, 12" high cabinets were stacked on top of 30" high cabinets, and also placed over the top of the window. A valance was special ordered for in front of the window. A back panel was special ordered for the back of the island. The client's existing floor was used, and they installed their own backsplash.

The Olney Manor is a historic property sitting on a beautiful 7 acre estate and surely provided some interesting design challenges while our design team worked with the Brown family on their home from the 1930's. To unify 400 square feet of kitchen and morning room seating space the team re-configured a structural opening and fireplace to create a beautiful stone wall with floating gas insert as the feature wall for the kitchen. Tasteful two tone painted cabinets with a cherry island and breakfast table created a great traditional and French country style melding that mirrored the classic elegance of the home. A historic property brings many challenges to planning, designing, and building, but our team delivered the Brown's dream kitchen, adding value and beauty to this already famous estate. http://www.lepaverphotography.com/
