The brief for this new build - to balance luxe and glamour with urban industrial. Creating a new home from scratch was a chance for this couple to build a home that not only practically suited the needs of a busy family, but was also stylish and stood apart. Rich and tactile materials combine to create a moody palette - concrete look tiles used on floors and walls, rusticated timber flooring, metallic cabinetry, statement stone and antiqued glass.
Furniture and furnishings continue the balance of style and function - custom pieces in textiles that will hold their stylish looks for many years to come. The finished home is relaxed but most definitely stylish - and a unique reflection of the personalities of this family.

Doors to pantry room are made of same cabinetry doors used in kitchen.
This pantry was completed in white with shaker style drawers and doors and oil rubbed bronze hardware. The counter top is a matte finish to match the hardware. Corner shelves maximize the space with wire storage baskets for more diversity and functionality. There are also vertical storage shelves for large baking sheets or serving plates.
The butler's pantry was one of the client's main focus points, ensuring it was a "working zone" still tied in with the design of the main kitchen. The idea of making all objects accessible in this space was met by open shelf planning. Typically a concealed space to the guest of a house, the finishes chosen were less expensive whilst still being very practical.
