This is a traditional kitchen, yet the materials make it extraordinary: mosaics of natural seashell in a herringbone motif have been applied into the inside of the rich walnut cabinetry, creating a luminescent texture to the upper level areas. Beyond the rich walnut, the oven section and the custom hood accents are finished in a soft metallic gold lacquer. For the work tops, leathered quartzite creates a light but rich surface that begs to be touched. Metallic bronze glazed subway tile, grouted with glittering silica creates a dramatic backsplash that challenges the definition of traditional design. On the cabinetry, custom bronze hardware by Edgar Berebi is inset with hundreds of Swarovski crystals, producing an opulent layer of detail that feels like jewelry. Shimmering cut glass and crystal chandeliers finish off the luxe look in a way that feels glamorous and timeless. Dave Bryce Photography

Custom Interlocking Antique Mirror mosaics set on a diagonal look timeless in this kitchen backsplash. Mirror works with most colorways. Any of our standard patterns can incorporate antique mirror- these 1" X 1"s set on a diagonal work particularly well in kitchen/bar backsplash designs. Photot by Gary Goldenstein

This stunning Newport Beach kitchen remodel transformed the open plan kitchen, while incorporating original structural features like the wooden beams and arched windows and doors. The result is a bright traditional style kitchen design that is sure to be the center of life in this home. The focal point of the new design is a Caliber 48” indoor professional range, which the clients wanted to stand out in the room. In a kitchen design by Bruce Colucci, this top of the line range is framed by a Le Gourmet Kitchen custom hood designed to complement the style of the range, as well as a sparkling metallic mosaic tile backsplash.

To open up this kitchen, Pineapple House designers replace the foyer wall with and interior window over the right kitchen counter. The window will slide open if you want to pass anything through it. The hallway was wide enough to cabinetry along one wall, thereby expanding the storage options. Mother of pearl tiles give the backsplash a glimmering quality.
