Transformations Custom Wood Design
This is a very large kitchen with lots of storage. The tops of the cabinets are 12' tall and there is hidden storage for the library ladder used to reach the upper cabinets. LED strip lighting was used for the under cabinet lights as well as uplights at the tops of the cabinets and inside the display cabinets. The island is movable and there are custom "carts" that when stored looks like a cabinet.

This “Blue for You” kitchen is truly a cook’s kitchen with its 48” Wolf dual fuel range, steamer oven, ample 48” built-in refrigeration and drawer microwave. The 11-foot-high ceiling features a 12” lighted tray with crown molding. The 9’-6” high cabinetry, together with a 6” high crown finish neatly to the underside of the tray. The upper wall cabinets are 5-feet high x 13” deep, offering ample storage in this 324 square foot kitchen. The custom cabinetry painted the color of Benjamin Moore’s “Jamestown Blue” (HC-148) on the perimeter and “Hamilton Blue” (HC-191) on the island and Butler’s Pantry. The main sink is a cast iron Kohler farm sink, with a Kohler cast iron under mount prep sink in the (100” x 42”) island. While this kitchen features much storage with many cabinetry features, it’s complemented by the adjoining butler’s pantry that services the formal dining room. This room boasts 36 lineal feet of cabinetry with over 71 square feet of counter space. Not outdone by the kitchen, this pantry also features a farm sink, dishwasher, and under counter wine refrigeration.

Classic Kitchens & Design
This custom waterfront home is situated on one of our favorite Gulf Islands. It features classic painted Prairie School cabinets by Merit Kitchens, mission style hardware, and various countertop surfaces including soapstone & live edge fir in the kitchen, maple butcher block in the pantry, stainless steel in the laundry, and quartz in the ensuite.

When we were approached us to tackle the kitchen design for this full house remodel, the homeowner had clear expectations of what she wanted her “new” kitchen to resemble. She hoped to create a late 19th century Soda Fountain Shop in her own home. Through a careful design process, we were able to create exactly the look that this discerning homeowner was looking for without giving up and modern conveniences that are found in today’s upscale kitchens. As a design firm, we were lucky that the remodeling process was extensive enough to allow us the freedom to create a space where this family of five could enjoy the comforts of classic Americana in their very own Soda Fountain Shop.

Kitchen designed for differing heights of kitchen cooks. One of the homeowners has an arm / shoulder injury making chopping food painful. The island countertop was lowered to accommodate her height and allow her to cut at a level that didn't cause pain.
