A contemporary, Mid-Century Modern kitchen refresh with gorgeous high-gloss white and walnut wood cabinetry paired with bright, red accents. The flooring is a beautifully speckled Terrazzo tile. Open shelving against a reclaimed brick backsplash is brightened up with recessed lighting. Our designer, Mackenzie Cain, created this truly unique kitchen for these stylish homeowners.

La conjugaison du fonctionnel et de l'esthétique, 45m² à Paris

Cet appartement de 45m² typiquement parisien se caractérise par une disposition en étoile où l’ensemble des volumes se parent de lumière naturelle. Entre essences de bois et marbre, les matériaux nobles y sont à l’honneur afin de créer un intérieur esthétique et fonctionnel. De nombreux agencements sur mesure viennent organiser les espaces : Dans la pièce de vie, la musique prend une place centrale où platines et collection de vinyles créent le lien entre le salon et la salle à manger. La chambre s’est quant à elle vu reconfigurée avec un accès direct à la salle d’eau devenue attenante, sans oublier le grand linéaire dressing en faisant un espace optimisé et épuré. Une rénovation complète intemporelle et sophistiquée pour ce grand deux pièces !

La reforma de la cocina se basa en una renovación total del mobiliario, paredes, pavimento y techo; a la vez se gana espacio moviendo una pared y transformando una puerta batiente por una puerta corredera. El resultado es el de una cocina práctica y optimizada, a la vez, el conjunto de materiales sigue la misma sintonía.

For starters, you want to find a balance between aesthetics and function. You may have heard of the ‘kitchen work triangle’, which refers to the space between your fridge, sink and stove. You want everything within easy reach when you’re working in the kitchen and look beautiful at the same time. It’s a good idea to take note of both when browsing our photo gallery.

2. Consider Your Space to Determine Your Kitchen Layout

Firstly, consider the space you have, and the limitations that come with it. Do you have a small kitchen and need to maximise your workspace and storage? Which appliances do you already own and what are their measurements? Are there windows you need to take into consideration when planning cabinets? How do kitchen, living and dining areas connect? Know your dimensions, plan cabinetry carefully and consider the placement of your appliances. You don’t want to end up with a finished design, only for your significant other to question where the fridge is supposed to go. You also want to plan the layout of your cabinets. Maybe you’re planning for a pantry and can do with less storage space in your kitchen, so that your design can be one without upper or lower cabinets for a different look. You want the style of your kitchen to reflect your personality and taste.
