Brandler London
This warehouse conversion uses joists, reclaimed from the original building and given new life as the bespoke kitchen doors and shelves. This open plan kitchen and living room with original floor boards, exposed brick, and reclaimed bespoke kitchen unites the activities of cooking, relaxing and living in this home. The kitchen optimises the Brandler London look of raw wood with the industrial aura of the home’s setting.
House Construction ltd
Adding a side return to the kitchen and creating a utility room and downstairs toilet to the ground floor of this property really transformed the social way of living in this property. The guide was night and day, so creating a dark snug living room with Farrow and Ball colours, then a kitchen and dining space full of natural light hopefully created exactly what the client was after. The bathroom focused on traditional and refusing the original, 120 year old, roll top bath.
Mariano & Co., LLC
After removing the soffits, island and old cabinets, we were able to install all new beautiful java shaker style cabinets, a Grey Glazed Brick backsplash in a herringbone pattern and create a new rectangular island where we patched in the existing Aequa Cirrus wood look tile for a seamless finish. The perimeter cabinets are topped with Bianco Montana Granite and the large new island is topped with a beautiful Bianco Romano Supreme Granite. Finally, the fixtures complete this kitchen with the stunning new Park Harbor “Hillpoint” Linear Pendant, Black Stainless Steel wall mount range hood, Café Brown “Grandis” single bowl sink and the Stainless Steel pull out spray Kitchen faucet!
Homework Design.Build.Remodel
This is one of our favorite kitchen projects! We started by deleting two walls and a closet, followed by framing in the new eight foot window and walk-in pantry. We stretched the existing kitchen across the entire room, and built a huge nine foot island with a gas range and custom hood. New cabinets, appliances, elm flooring, custom woodwork, all finished off with a beautiful rustic white brick.
Cheung Showman Architects
For this 2-bedroom condo in a classic Brooklyn brownstone, Cheung Showman Architects worked with the client to introduce a variety of material textures to a space previously characterized by plaster molding. Reclaimed wood floors, shelves made of old joists, and painted brick serve to change the feeling of 'history' in the apartment, supplementing the original molding's sharp classical lines with natural variation and layering over time.
