Concrete block walls provide thermal mass for heating and defence agains hot summer. The subdued colours create a quiet and cosy space focussed around the fire. Timber joinery adds warmth and texture , framing the collections of books and collected objects.

Custom designed floating shelves easily allow for a rotating display of the owners art collection. By keeping clutter hidden away this apartment is kept simple and spacious.
Mon Concept Habitation

Aeris Home
Residential space in North Park's newest building by Jeff Svitak. Space was decorated for a couple who support local artists and love music. We started with a soft velvet sofa (color: moss) that instantly softened this large concrete space. While working around this sofa, we came across the walnut furniture set - it blended right in with the earthy feel we were going for. Plants have a power of bringing any space to life so we added the intertwining money tree and a soft green tree (supposed to be a fast grower). Once the furnishings were in, we added the artwork - a final touch to make this space a client's home.

This adorable beach cottage is in the heart of the village of La Jolla in San Diego. The goals were to brighten up the space and be the perfect beach get-away for the client whose permanent residence is in Arizona. Some of the ways we achieved the goals was to place an extra high custom board and batten in the great room and by refinishing the kitchen cabinets (which were in excellent shape) white. We created interest through extreme proportions and contrast. Though there are a lot of white elements, they are all offset by a smaller portion of very dark elements. We also played with texture and pattern through wallpaper, natural reclaimed wood elements and rugs. This was all kept in balance by using a simplified color palate minimal layering.
I am so grateful for this client as they were extremely trusting and open to ideas. To see what the space looked like before the remodel you can go to the gallery page of the website www.cmnaturaldesigns.com

Four Elements Construction
This main floor renovation turned out perfect! Our clients wanted to reimagine their living space in their older raised bungalow, and we were happy to help! One bedroom was re-purposed into a custom music room open to the front entry and living room area. And another was converted into a luxurious walk in closet off the primary bedroom. New hardwood flooring was installed throughout. The kitchen was completely opened up to the dining and living rooms. The new cabinets, island, countertops, custom millwork, wood beams and plank ceiling helped create a beautiful space for cooking and entertaining! And even though the traditional plaster walls and ceilings were preserved, fresh paint and trim complemented the transformation!
Flooret
Deep tones of gently weathered grey and brown. A modern look that still respects the timelessness of natural wood. With the Modin Collection, we have raised the bar on luxury vinyl plank. The result is a new standard in resilient flooring. Modin offers true embossed in register texture, a low sheen level, a rigid SPC core, an industry-leading wear layer, and so much more.

Double Reception Room and Bedroom revamp in a London Terraced House. Blues used on the walls with 2 different shades for each end of the double reception room to give each their own sense of purpose and identity. A grown up space with teal hints to modernise a little but still compliment the client's classic pieces.
