Klopf Architecture
The owners dreamed of an Eichler remodel they would live in forever. Their vision was contemporary and open. Klopf Architecture would design, and reconfigure bathrooms/laundry areas and upgrade systems to be more efficient. This talented executive mother of five decorated and furnished the home herself.

Exposed beams bring the interior and exterior together, true to Mid-Century style, to create a cohesive feel. The trim framing the interior windows is made from redwood reclaimed from the preexisting structure, adding depth and a nostalgic touch for the homeowners.

C&R Remodeling
This mid century modern home boasted irreplaceable features including original wood cabinets, wood ceiling, and a wall of floor to ceiling windows. C&R developed a design that incorporated the existing details with additional custom cabinets that matched perfectly. A new lighting plan, quartz counter tops, plumbing fixtures, tile backsplash and floors, and new appliances transformed this kitchen while retaining all the mid century flavor.

This kitchen renovation features custom rift white oak cabinetry and painted cabinetry in Benjamin Moore Narragansett Green HC-157. The slab cabinet doors and drawers with concealed pulls creates a clean minimalist look with beautiful horizontal tile. This kitchen uses an interesting mixture of metal finishes including a custom copper hood and back splash with other black accents. Seating was maximized with the use of a custom wood banquette. The use of specialty inserts such as a pot and pan pullout, peg drawers for dishes, cutlery divider, oil and spice pullouts ensure that everything has its proper place and maximized functional storage.

This view is from the "link" into 1949 dining room and kitchen. Addition was slab on grade to match existing floor height, and we added quarry tile throughout. Original interior walls were plywood stained grey. Furniture throughout is just perfect for this period and style. Scott Mayoral photo
