Midcentury Home Office Design Ideas with Blue Walls
Breathe Design StudioOur Austin studio decided to go bold with this project by ensuring that each space had a unique identity in the Mid-Century Modern style bathroom, butler's pantry, and mudroom. We covered the bathroom walls and flooring with stylish beige and yellow tile that was cleverly installed to look like two different patterns. The mint cabinet and pink vanity reflect the mid-century color palette. The stylish knobs and fittings add an extra splash of fun to the bathroom.
The butler's pantry is located right behind the kitchen and serves multiple functions like storage, a study area, and a bar. We went with a moody blue color for the cabinets and included a raw wood open shelf to give depth and warmth to the space. We went with some gorgeous artistic tiles that create a bold, intriguing look in the space.
In the mudroom, we used siding materials to create a shiplap effect to create warmth and texture – a homage to the classic Mid-Century Modern design. We used the same blue from the butler's pantry to create a cohesive effect. The large mint cabinets add a lighter touch to the space.

Aria Stone GalleryThis home office and library was inspired by a hotel in Austria. The walls are coated in a faux blue suede and warm wood paneling. The designer decided to keep the color consistent all around and selected our Blue Bahia granite to create a custom desk.

Sparkling*Création d'un espace bureau bibliothèque faisant le lien entre deux appartements réunis.
Les propriétaires possédaient un studio attenant à leur appartement et souhaitaient réunir l'un et l'autre pour créer une troisième chambre d'enfant. L'espace de transition entre les deux appartements a alors été imaginé comme un bureau d'appoint bibliothèque pour libérer de l'espace dans le séjour qui acceuillait cette fonction jusqu'alors. Puis un parti-pris coloré aux accents Vintage a permis de souligner ce nouvel espace en lui donnant sa pleine identité, et en apportant une transition joyeuse entre le séjour et cette nouvelle chambre.

Nicole Arnold InteriorsThe unused dining room was envisioned as a sitting room for family chats, girlfriend wine nights, and couples’ conversations. The inspiration was taken from the vintage stereo cabinet, which the family uses regularly to play LP’s. Lighting, furniture frames, and textural rug all evoke the flavors of the ’60s and warmly invite its guests. The theme continues into the super functional study, using minimalistic furniture (including a recliner that doesn’t look like one!) and a custom-built cabinet with inset drawers and doors, providing tons of storage. The light fixture here is the perfect punctuation to this special space, keeping it open and airy.
The kitchen continues to boast minimalistic, yet prominent features. The sliding door, mid-century inspired seating and special glass top table (that has a self-contained extension when the party grows larger) are all unique pieces to define this spacious kitchen. Gold accents are throughout to warm up the space and keep it cozy.
