Classic and calm guest bath with pale pink chevron tiling and marble floors.

Contemporary artwork drove the design in this beautifully remodeled powder room in the Bethesda-Potomac area of Maryland. Oiled bronze fixtures complement the mirror. Intricate hand-laid tile boosts this bathroom from simple to spectacular.

Jane removed the existing tub to make way for a large walk-in shower, complete with an eye-catching contemporary shower panel, contrasting natural bamboo and sleek stainless steel. The rectangular porcelain tile with a bamboo effect was installed vertically to add visual height, while paired with a stone and glass mosaic tile in a wrapped stripe for interest. The glass block window streams natural light through the door-less shower entrance, and can be seen from the bedroom. To continue the functional clean lines, a large vanity with a travertine countertop and integrated double stone sinks was installed. Photography - Grey Crawford

The master bathroom was designed with tradition in mind and a taste for old elegance. it is fitted with a fabulous walk in glass shower and a deep soaking tub. The pedestal soaking tub and Italian carrera marble metal legs, double custom sinks balance classic style and modern flair. These custom build sauna benches have some great curved backrests that feature fiberoptic lighting. The lighting is provided by a remote projector and with a wireless remote the user can change the color to anything in the rainbow, Chris Veith
