TVL Creative Ltd.This project was not only full of many bathrooms but also many different aesthetics. The goals were fourfold, create a new master suite, update the basement bath, add a new powder bath and my favorite, make them all completely different aesthetics.
Primary Bath-This was originally a small 60SF full bath sandwiched in between closets and walls of built-in cabinetry that blossomed into a 130SF, five-piece primary suite. This room was to be focused on a transitional aesthetic that would be adorned with Calcutta gold marble, gold fixtures and matte black geometric tile arrangements.
Powder Bath-A new addition to the home leans more on the traditional side of the transitional movement using moody blues and greens accented with brass. A fun play was the asymmetry of the 3-light sconce brings the aesthetic more to the modern side of transitional. My favorite element in the space, however, is the green, pink black and white deco tile on the floor whose colors are reflected in the details of the Australian wallpaper.
Hall Bath-Looking to touch on the home's 70's roots, we went for a mid-mod fresh update. Black Calcutta floors, linear-stacked porcelain tile, mixed woods and strong black and white accents. The green tile may be the star but the matte white ribbed tiles in the shower and behind the vanity are the true unsung heroes.

Design Theory Interiors, LLCThis powder bath makes a statement with textures. A vanity with raffia doors against a background of alternating gloss and matte geometric tile and striped with brushed gold metal strips. The wallpaper, made in India, reflects themes reminiscent of the client's home in India.
Design TuttoilmondoThe overall design was done by Sarah Vaile Interior Design. My contribution to this was the stone specification and architectural details for the intricate inverted chevron tile format.
Neil Kelly CompanyThis powder room is the perfect companion to the kitchen in terms of aesthetic. Pewter green by Sherwin Williams from the kitchen cabinets is here on the walls balanced by a marble with brass accent chevron tile covering the entire vanity wall. Walnut vanity, white quartz countertop, and black and brass hardware and accessories.
Knight Custom HomesA corroded pipe in the 2nd floor bathroom was the original prompt to begin extensive updates on this 109 year old heritage home in Elbow Park. This craftsman home was build in 1912 and consisted of scattered design ideas that lacked continuity. In order to steward the original character and design of this home while creating effective new layouts, we found ourselves faced with extensive challenges including electrical upgrades, flooring height differences, and wall changes. This home now features a timeless kitchen, site finished oak hardwood through out, 2 updated bathrooms, and a staircase relocation to improve traffic flow. The opportunity to repurpose exterior brick that was salvaged during a 1960 addition to the home provided charming new backsplash in the kitchen and walk in pantry.
Let's RemodelThis bathroom had lacked storage with a pedestal sink. The yellow walls and dark tiled floors made the space feel dated and old. We updated the bathroom with light bright light blue paint, rich blue vanity cabinet, and black and white Design Evo flooring. With a smaller mirror, we are able to add in a light above the vanity. This helped the space feel bigger and updated with the fixtures and cabinet.
Metropolis Drafting and Construction IncThe downstairs powder room has a 4' hand painted cement tile wall with the same black Terrazzo flooring continuing from the kitchen area.
