Treefrog Design
I have been working as a kitchen and bath designer in the Pacific Northwest for 13 years. I love engaging with new clients, ascertaining their needs through various interviews and meetings and then collaborating as we build their finished concept together. The variety of design styles, room layouts and function changes so much between one person and the next that no two finished products are remotely the same. This fluidity allows for endless possibilities for exploration in my field. It keeps the job interesting and has always given me a particular sense of reward and accomplishment as we near completion. The greatest personal recompense in this chosen profession is being able to walk with a client through this process and come out the other side with that client feeling elated with the end result.

Red Pepper Design & Cabinetry
Even interior designers need help when it comes to designing kitchen cabnetry. Lauren of Lauren Maggio Interiors solicited the help of RED PEPPER for layout and cabinetry design while she selected all of the finishes.
New Orleans classicism and modern color combine to create a warm family space. The kitchen, banquette and dinner table and family room are all one space so cabinets were made to look like furniture. The space must function for a young family of six, which it does, and must hide countertop appliances (behind the doors on the left) and be compatable with entertaining in the large open room. A butler's pantry and scheduling desk connect the kitchen to the dining room.

This bar hutch was made from tow existing lower cabinets used to blend seamlessly with new uppers. The stain glass doors have antique glass with a custom pattern made locally by a stain glass artisan.

Embracing an authentic Craftsman-styled kitchen was one of the primary objectives for these New Jersey clients. They envisioned bending traditional hand-craftsmanship and modern amenities into a chef inspired kitchen. The woodwork in adjacent rooms help to facilitate a vision for this space to create a free-flowing open concept for family and friends to enjoy.
This kitchen takes inspiration from nature and its color palette is dominated by neutral and earth tones. Traditionally characterized with strong deep colors, the simplistic cherry cabinetry allows for straight, clean lines throughout the space. A green subway tile backsplash and granite countertops help to tie in additional earth tones and allow for the natural wood to be prominently displayed.
The rugged character of the perimeter is seamlessly tied into the center island. Featuring chef inspired appliances, the island incorporates a cherry butchers block to provide additional prep space and seating for family and friends. The free-standing stainless-steel hood helps to transform this Craftsman-style kitchen into a 21st century treasure.
