grey cabinetry with brass handles - misbfox

This cozy bachelorette pad in the heart of Duboce Triangle near the Castro District of San Francisco is both warm and refreshing. Soft tones and textures in upholstery are met with organic patterns in cool blues and grays and bright brass and bold black metal details. The restored Edwardian home brings a classic element to the space while bright white walls add a tone of contemporary style that is seamlessly combined with an eclectic design that is both clean and timeless. Feminine details in patterns and decorative elements complete the home with sweet touches of sentiment.

The renovated kitchen is in the exact same footprint as the original. Yet, it is now fresh, clean and romantically vintage in appeal while modern in approach.

This tiny kitchen was barely usable by a busy mom with 3 young kids. We were able to remove two walls and open the kitchen into an unused space of the home and make this the focal point of the home the clients had always dreamed of! Hidden on the back side of this peninsula are 3 cubbies, one for each child to store their backpacks and lunch boxes for school. The fourth cubby contains a charging station for the families electronics.

Within the scope of the project we were asked to completely redesign a Master Suite and Kitchen in a 1400 sf residence. The home is essentially an art gallery as the owner continues to grow his collection of modern art. The inspiration for our design was to create a sleek White palette to showcase the collection. The white cabinets, light floors, marble counter top and backlit floating panels really let the Art pop. The bar and wine fridge can be hidden when not entertaining to keep the sleek design. The Kitchen plays well off the master bath with refined design, clean lines and white palette.

“We want to redo our cabinets…but my kitchen is so small!” We hear this a lot here at Reborn Cabinets. You might be surprised how many people put off refreshing their kitchen simply because homeowners can’t see beyond their own square footage. Not all of us can live in a big, sprawling ranch house, but that doesn’t mean that a small kitchen can’t be polished into a real gem! This project is a great example of how dramatic the difference can be when we rethink our space—even just a little! By removing hanging cabinets, this kitchen opened-up very nicely. The light from the preexisting French doors could flow wonderfully into the adjacent family room. The finishing touches were made by transforming a very small “breakfast nook” into a clean and useful storage space.

AFTER: Close-up of what used to be the desk area. Replacing the desk with cabinets and counter space allowed the stove to be moved about 18" to the left, creating more usable counter space on both sides of the stove. The backsplash is a combination glass and stone tile. The end cabinets on each side of the back wall have seeded glass fronts.
