The remodeled space of this North Albany home was only expanded a few feet but it made all the difference in creating a comfortable breakfast room. The white built-in buffet adds lots of room for serving and storage of plates and utensils. The round column that divides the dining room and kitchen hides the 8×8 post that supports the load bearing beams that run through the dining room and kitchen. Jenerik Images Photography

The large living-dining room lacked a focal point and storage. To compensate for this we designed a built-in that functioned as a buffet, china and display. The built-in is the true focal point of the space. A family painting, flanked by sconces and shelving for collectables, makes the space personal.

Perched atop a bluff overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, this new residence adds a modern twist to the classic Shingle Style. The house is anchored to the land by stone retaining walls made entirely of granite taken from the site during construction. Clad almost entirely in cedar shingles, the house will weather to a classic grey. Photo Credit: Blind Dog Studio
