Handpainted in Farrow & Ball 'Studio Green', the Burlanes Hoyden cabinetry is handmade to fit the dimensions of the room exactly, complemented perfectly with Silestone worktops in 'Iconic White'.

This is a traditional kitchen, yet the materials make it extraordinary: mosaics of natural seashell in a herringbone motif have been applied into the inside of the rich walnut cabinetry, creating a luminescent texture to the upper level areas. Beyond the rich walnut, the oven section and the custom hood accents are finished in a soft metallic gold lacquer. For the work tops, leathered quartzite creates a light but rich surface that begs to be touched. Metallic bronze glazed subway tile, grouted with glittering silica creates a dramatic backsplash that challenges the definition of traditional design. On the cabinetry, custom bronze hardware by Edgar Berebi is inset with hundreds of Swarovski crystals, producing an opulent layer of detail that feels like jewelry. Artichoke worked with the renowned interior designer Michael Smith to develop the style of this bespoke kitchen. The detailing of the furniture either side of the Wolf range is influenced by the American East Coast New England style, with chromed door catches and simple glazed wall cabinets. The extraction canopy is clad in zinc and antiqued with acid and wax. The green painted larder cabinet contains food storage and refrigeration; the mouldings on this cabinet were inspired from a piece of Dutch antique furniture. The pot hanging rack enabled us to provide lighting over the island and saved littering the timbered ceiling with unsightly lighting. Primary materials: Hand painted cabinetry, steel and antiqued zinc.

Brighton Kitchen Project. It features one of our local made lines of cabinets. They are a frameless 3/4" plywood construction in painted maple. The door style is a square raised panel with a "double bubble" detail on the inside edge in a painted and distressed black. Countertops are a Mombasa Granite with a 3/8" round edge. The floors are tumbled stone in a "pinwheel" pattern. The backsplash behind the stove is stainless steel. Appliances are by Viking.

The key design goal of the homeowners was to install “an extremely well-made kitchen with quality appliances that would stand the test of time”. The kitchen design had to be timeless with all aspects using the best quality materials and appliances. The new kitchen is an extension to the farmhouse and the dining area is set in a beautiful timber-framed orangery by Westbury Garden Rooms, featuring a bespoke refectory table that we constructed on site due to its size. The project involved a major extension and remodelling project that resulted in a very large space that the homeowners were keen to utilise and include amongst other things, a walk in larder, a scullery, and a large island unit to act as the hub of the kitchen. The design of the orangery allows light to flood in along one length of the kitchen so we wanted to ensure that light source was utilised to maximum effect. Installing the distressed mirror splashback situated behind the range cooker allows the light to reflect back over the island unit, as do the hammered nickel pendant lamps. The sheer scale of this project, together with the exceptionally high specification of the design make this kitchen genuinely thrilling. Every element, from the polished nickel handles, to the integration of the Wolf steamer cooktop, has been precisely considered. This meticulous attention to detail ensured the kitchen design is absolutely true to the homeowners’ original design brief and utilises all the innovative expertise our years of experience have provided.

This kitchen was part of a significant remodel to the entire home. Our client, having remodeled several kitchens previously, had a high standard for this project. The result is stunning. Using earthy, yet industrial and refined details simultaneously, the combination of design elements in this kitchen is fashion forward and fresh. Project specs: Viking 36” Range, Sub Zero 48” Pro style refrigerator, custom marble apron front sink, cabinets by Premier Custom-Built in a tone on tone milk paint finish, hammered steel brackets.

This stunning Art Deco Kitchen was a labor of love and vision for our creative homeowners who were ready to update their kitchen of 30+ years. By removing the peninsula island and creating space for a seated banquette, we were able to custom design and a curved mahogany island and curved bench to offset the straight dramatic dark lines of the main kitchen. With gold metallic tile and the new Litze Faucet in split finish of gold and black, we think drama in the kitchen looks fabulous indeed!

Out of the way, the dog bowls were built into the cabinetry, with a piece of engineered quartz countertop to withstand splashes. The goal of the project was to update the kitchen and butler's pantry of this over 100 year old house. The kitchen and butler's pantry cabinetry were from different eras and the counter top was disjointed around the existing sink, with an old radiator in the way. The clients were inspired by the cabinetry color in one of our projects posted earlier on Houzz and we successfully blended that with personalized elements to create a kitchen in a style of their own. The butler's pantry behind the range wall with it's lit glass door cabinets matches the kitchen's style and acts as a backdrop for the custom range hood and uniquely tiled wall. We maximized the counter space around the custom Galley sink by replacing the old radiator that was in the way with a toe space heater, and by extending the integral drain board above the dishwasher.
