My House Design/Build/Team
My House Design/Build Team | www.myhousedesignbuild.com | 604-694-6873 | Duy Nguyen Photography ----- This once dark, enclosed main floor living space has been transformed into an open concept, bright and airy interior that brings the outdoors in. We built a 10’ x 23’ addition out the back of the home that is finished in glass and glu-lam. The glass ceiling combined with new large windows allows an ample amount of natural light to flow through the transformed space highlighting an inviting atmosphere even during Vancouver’s rainy season. The crisp white cabinetry truly helped brighten this space, however we still wanted to keep rich natural wood tone and textures in this home to reference the North Vancouver landscape. A seamless transition from interior to exterior is highlighted by the textured, multi-tone oak floors, dark stained glu-lam beams as well as the character in the live edge shelves and desktop.

This brownstone building in Brooklyn Heights was restored back to a single family household for a returning client. On the exterior, the brownstone was restored and on the interior, the house was rewired and the air conditioning was upgraded. To create a division between the living room and dining room, a soffit and columns were added. Those rooms then received crown molding that is typical to the building style. Also, the basement was converted into two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a mud room.

Envision Custom Renovations
The couple wanted an outdoor retreat that was an extension of their home. We designed and built a large 500 square feet upper and lower Trex deck. The upper deck is trimmed with privacy glass that ties into brick in the BBQ area. A casual sitting area is complete with glass railing to the lower deck to maintain the flow between the two spaces. Custom vinyl privacy highlighted with LED accent lighting on the posts line the lower deck with a stunning brick focal in the center. The lighting continues on the stairs to allow for the tranquil space to be utilized day or night!
