This project presented very unique challenges: the customer wanted to "open" the kitchen to the living room so that the room could be inclusive, while not losing the vital pantry space. The solution was to remove the former load bearing wall and pantry and build a custom island so the profile of the doors and drawers seamlessly matched with the current kitchen. Additionally, we had to locate the granite for the island to match the existing countertops. The results are, well, incredible!

New facelift for this condo in Brantford. Interior design ideas provided by Carolyn Wilbrink from Small Town Style and CW Design & Co.
Cloud White bevel shaker doors with Fantasy Brown Granite countertops. We incorporated a wood hood to this kitchen along with additional accessories such as a 2-bin garbage pull out and super-susan in the corner base cabinet for maximum access for this client. The microwave was integrated into the peninsula with a stainless steel trim kit. We added corbels on either end of the peninsula to add a touch of elegance.

Maximizing the functionality of this space, and coordinating the new kitchen with the beautiful remodel completed previously by the client were the two most important aspects of this project. The existing spaces are elegantly decorated with an open plan, dark hardwood floors, and natural stone accents. The new, lighter, more open kitchen flows beautifully into the client’s existing dining room space. Satin nickel hardware blends with the stainless steel appliances and matches the satin nickel details throughout the home. The fully integrated refrigerator next to the narrow pull-out pantry cabinet, take up less visual weight than a traditional stainless steel appliance and the two combine to provide fantastic storage. The glass cabinet doors and decorative lighting beautifully highlight the client’s glassware and dishes. Finished with white subway tile, Dreamy Marfil quartz countertops, and a warm natural wood blind; the space warm, inviting, elegant, and extremely functional.

LU Design Build
Our clients bought a beautiful century home in Historical Webster Groves, but it was in need of a modern day facelift. We took down dated walls in the kitchen and let the light in.
This family loves to cook and the old kitchen layout was closed in and choppy. The new layout is stocked with storage, professional appliances and plenty of sunlit workspace.
In the family room, the wood wainscoting was original and dark. We lightened up the room by painting everything a clean, clear white. The hardwood floors warm up the room and now it feels welcoming, bright and inviting.
Our last stop was the sunroom. It had baseboard heaters, old blue carpet and did not feel cozy and inviting! We replaced the carpet with Spanish clay tile that brings back the character of the old home - but includes a modern update - in floor heat.
We love how it turned out!

The old Kitchen had natural wood cabinets that extended to the ceiling and dark stone countertops. Kitchen remodel within the existing 12′ x 13′ footprint.
By vaulting the ceilings, adding skylights and enlarging the window over the sink, we brought in more volume and light. These elements along with the new soft neutral color palette make the space feel much larger and lighter.

By taking down an exterior door and opening the space into the living room, we took a tiny cramped U-shaped kitchen and made it a fantastic place to entertain. Black appliances, hardware and plumbing provide contrast to the white cabinets and tile. The neutral Coastal Surf quartzite ties the space together with the finishes in the living room.

A great example of use of color in a kitchen space. We utilized seafoam green and light wood stained cabinets in this renovation in Spring Hill, FL. Other features include a double dishwasher and oversized subway tile.
