Sleek modern update to a 1998 stately brick colonial home. this kitchen features beautiful white painted stacked flush inset cabinets that accentuate the 10 ft ceilings, sleek flush installed appliances, a two tier island where everyone can gather, and a wine tower for entertaining.
Plain & Posh
These homeowners were ready to update the home they had built when their girls were young. This was not a full gut remodel. The perimeter cabinetry mostly stayed but got new doors and height added at the top. The island and tall wood stained cabinet to the left of the sink are new and custom built and I hand-drew the design of the new range hood. The beautiful reeded detail came from our idea to add this special element to the new island and cabinetry. Bringing it over to the hood just tied everything together. We were so in love with this stunning Quartzite we chose for the countertops we wanted to feature it further in a custom apron-front sink. We were in love with the look of Zellige tile and it seemed like the perfect space to use it in.

Two Hands Interiors
Open shelving between traditional white cabinets provide a convenient place for functional storage and a moment to display favorite art pieces. The stacked Zellige tile to the ceiling framed by Hick pendent lights blend the contemporary and classic touches.

A beautiful and spacious kitchen that emanates warmth and whim. The stunning view of the outdoor woods adds a subtle pop of green, while the interior shows off an elegant color palette of neutrals. Classic white shaker cabinets pair beautifully with the thunderstorm gray kitchen island and bar stools as well as the lustrous herringbone backsplash. Natural wooden floors complete the look, as the rich organic hues add a timeless charm that fits perfectly in a Pacific Northwest home.
Designed by Michelle Yorke Interiors who also serves Seattle as well as Seattle's Eastside suburbs from Mercer Island all the way through Cle Elum.

Pretty two toned cream and stained kitchen with a fun Moroccan tile.
Custom painted wall cabinets with a nice knotty alder base cabinet give a warm and friendly feel to the space. The client chose stained base cabinets because of the ease of touch up, having several young children.

A tribute to bringing the outdoors in, reclaimed floors, natural stone and baked terra cotta tiles in shades of aquamarine emboldens the neutral color palette while mixed metals in polished chrome and hand-forged iron add timeless appeal.

We removed a pantry, chimney stack and refrigerator from the middle of the space tp give our clients a huge island with lots of storage. Incorporated the induction cooktop into the island with a downdraft the recirculates in the toe kick. We used a warm, hand made tile for the backsplash. We added many forms of lighting, for options ;-) We used a matte white appliance package with brass handles.
