velvet couch,,,turns the room more modern - j_mcurrie
The living room is home to a custom, blush-velvet Chesterfield sofa and pale-pink silk drapes. The clear, waterfall coffee table was selected to keep the space open, while the Moroccan storage ottomans were used to store toys and provide additional seating.

The ground floor of the property has been opened-up as far as possible so as to maximise the illusion of space and daylight. The two original reception rooms have been combined to form a single, grand living room with a central large opening leading to the entrance hall.
Victorian-style plaster cornices and ceiling roses, painted timber sash windows with folding shutters, painted timber architraves and moulded skirtings, and a new limestone fire surround have been installed in keeping with the period of the house. The Dinesen douglas fir floorboards have been laid on piped underfloor heating.

padded furniture for entrance hall - nancy_neal98
This is a traditional Victorian terraced house with a double reception room separated by huge wooden doors. The front half is used as a living room where the family like to relax and watch TV, or sit when they are entertaining family and friends. The walls are painted in Farrow & Ball All White, and the skirting in Cornforth White. The floorboards are original, sanded and stained. Bright colours (purple sofa with lime green cushions) help inject colour whilst the black and white pattern, the glass and mirror finishes help keep the look stylish and chic.

This is an original historic mirror which was re-framed and integrated with the custom designed painted wood surround and mantel of the new gas fireplace. Carrara marble frames the metal fireplace and serves as the hearth.
