About Us

a423 architecture & design inc was established in 2007 as an architecture firm focused on quality of design with great environmental sensitivity. Its founder and president, Maria Diaz-Joves, believes sustainability should not be just an option or trend but become a design standard without hindering quality and budget. The firm's mission is to strengthen the connection between the creative design process and the socio-economic and environmental realities of its context providing modern sustainable design for all and encouraging the development of struggling communities. a423 practices architecture as an innovative creative process which goes beyond the drawing board taking a hands-on approach in most projects. By merging the line between design and construction, we can manage quality, time and cost more effectively resulting into successful projects and happy clients.

a423 has been a pleasure to work with over the past two years. Maria is truly a kind and unique architect that values integrity of process and listens to her clients. She's thoughtful and has an ability to 'see' that's unmatched in the Lehigh Valley. She's a problem solver and a damn good one. Her partner Dave (HFS Group) is equally smart and aware of the building process. Their quotes, processes and services have gone above and beyond my expectations. If you're looking to build on a unique lot or want build using modern aesthetics, a423 is your team.

A423 design and their associates (HFS group) are incapable. 4 years ago my wife and I gave them a deposit and signed a contract to build a house. They never started or returned the money. We are suing. Stay away from this company !!

Maria is a consummate professional. Knowledgeable and friendly, she is accessible and easy to work with. She is good at turning client input into workable living space. She is also creative, an architect who thinks outside the box, rather than build them. I hope I have the opportunity to work with her again!

Ingenious and creativity are present in all and each space of our house, designed and built by A423 Architecture. The house basic design is site specific and incorporates functionality that fits our lifestyle. Clean lines, open spaces and primary materials, such as concrete, metal and wood define all the living areas of this house. Maria’s principles of honest, responsible and meaningful architecture prevailed in all the stages from concept up to when we occupied the home. All this on-time and on-budget!

My husband and I have been working with a423 for over a year planning and building our perfect house. The experience has been incredible. Every aspect has been enjoyable.
