ARDO completed a 1500 sqft addition on our house including a master suite (bedroom, bathroom, closet), two offices, laundry room, gym, mudroom, and 2-car garage. The work is high quality and we love it! Our house is historic and tying in with the old structure presented many challenges. Their team, Carl in particular, are highly skilled carpenters and their work was excellent. We came in very close to budget, COVID price hikes were the largest contributor to changes. We came in close to the time we were expecting, which is late but not unreasonably so, especially considering supply chain delays going on nationwide during our 9 month build. Our biggest frustrations during the process came in dealings with subcontractors and ARDO was very patient working through these issues with us. Highly recommend.

ARDO completed three major additions to our home. Each was completed on time, on budget and professionally. Easy to deal with, Paul and his installers are knowledgeable and friendly.

We are so thrilled with the work ARDO did renovating our little house on the water. It was a 2 bed 1 bath house that was a series of additions on a 1927 fishing shack! So the house needed some true experts to renovate, move walls, secure the various roof lines and tie the 18’x26’ addition. Paul, Carl, Lisa and Krissie were fantastic to work with. Having heard horror stories of people giving money to contractors who then disappear we were impressed with Paul’s fee schedule. That alone should put people at ease. Upon signing, upon delivery of, upon completion of ….there were 7 or 8 draws, checks we sent to ARDO as the project progressed. Paul and his team came up with very creative designs and the communication back and forth was outstanding! Lisa was on top of sourcing materials and always responded almost immediately. Carl was our project manager. I had no idea how vital an expert project manager was. Carl not only scheduled and hired out subcontractors for plumbing, HVAC, and electric, he personally supervised everything. When our granite counter tops were being installed, Carl made sure the grain was matched up and had them redo the granite for the kitchen island, something I never would have caught. Carl was on site and present for everything. I will post photos but I’m a terrible photographer, so….

I sit on my new screen porch so happy that we chose Ardo to do the job. I had dreamed of a screen porch for decades! During May I had watched the men do the work and was delighted by their professionalism. Paul was most attentive to our wishes when drawing up the plans and visited the job site frequently. We will call Ardo for whatever we need done in the future.

Coming out of a prolonged really painful experience with a previous contractor, who had done our basement, my husband & I were very hesitant on starting our kitchen remodel. However Lisa Becker from Ardo contracting restored our faith. Thanks to Lisa for all her advise, hand holding, design input & amazing coordination to get our kitchen project completed on time, within budget & with no hitches. Both her & Ardo Contracting inspired confidence in us after our basement fiasco with our previous contractor. Not to mention that this was a challenging job, as we had ordered the cabinets with the previous contractor, so making adjustments & design changes as well as dealing with an older home was challenging for sure. However Ardo, Lisa, Charlie, Eric & Paul worked with us every step of the way. We had two bathrooms renovated plus some miscellaneous work done by Ardo. The costs were moderate but the outstanding feature was the competence of the staff, their conscientiousness, courtousy and commitment to customer service. Lisa Becker went several extra miles to insure that we were happy with our selections and the quality of the work. She researched products and prices tirelessly. Ardo's owner, Paul, is responsive and expert in his advice. The several staff members who did the actual work were always on time, were courteous, and respectful as well as competent craftsmen. We would not hesitate to give them our highest recommendation and look forward to having them them do other projects.

i am so pleased with our project! We hired ARDO Contracting, Inc. to completely renovate our kitchen and update our upstairs bathrooms. The kitchen was the main focus of our project. The kitchen needed to be updated but I did not want to do so unless we could really improve the functionality of that kitchen. I was very frustrated by not having enough counter space and storage space and it seemed a bit cramped. I really wanted to be able to keep my kitchen table and have the flexibility of adding another table for seating when all of my young nieces and nephews come over. I worked with Jim on the design. He was wonderful to work with. He spent a lot of time trying to understand why I was frustrated with the kitchen, how I cooked, and what my priorities were for the project. He really listened to what I was saying where other contractors I spoke with merely gave me estimates for updating the kitchen without changing the functional design. The resulting kitchen design was just what I needed! ARDO Contracting, Inc. was a pleasure to work with. They were very professional and respectful and did a great job of helping us stay within our budget and finish our renovations on time. My husband and I are so pleased with the results of our renovation. Not only is our kitchen beautiful but it is such a joy to cook in! I would not hesitate to recommend ARDO Contracting, Inc..

We hired ARDO because we had seen the work they had done for friends. ARDO did the whole project from design to completion. Everyone who worked here was extremely competent in their ability and work ethic. It was like working with family. They did not hesitate to do the extras. The job site was always cleaned up at the end of the day.if I have another large project I would definitely hire ARDO again. We have had many compliments on our remodeled kitchen.

ARDO has added a bedroom and an award winning bath along with many other projects in our home. They have been great to work with and they provide a great product.

We did a major remodel of our house--roof to basement, including kitchen, baths, floors, stairs, new entry, dormer roof and more. Ardo provided detailed floor plans and written descriptions to be followed. Each phase and/or change of the project was reviewed and signed-off on throughout the process. When there was a change, we were given the new and/or revised plans as well as the cost breakout. We communicated consistently though-out the process. They were consistently accessible, willing to answer questions and provide alternatives. The quality of the work was superior. Whenever we had other contractors involved (e.g., installation of new geothermal system, elevator) they coordinated the schedule and oversaw the overall job. Our interaction with Ardo included Jim Molinelli (the architect) and the owner, Paul Arnold as well as many of his staff (carpenters, plumbers, etc.); and it was great. We recommend them as true professionals who were trustworthy, take pride in their work and aim to please their customer.

Ardo Contracting, Inc. did a fantastic job from design to completion on our kitchen. This is the second time we hired them -- the first was to rescue our downstairs after a flood (we have no basement), which they made better than it was before. For our kitchen, we had the luxury of time to research different contractors. Some were stuck on their own "visions" and didn't really listen to what we needed and wanted; some were warm and friendly but took forever to get estimates to us; some were professional but very expensive. Paul Arnold (owner) and Jim Molinelli (architect) listened carefully to the way we wanted to use the space, made respectful suggestions when we went in the wrong direction, created a system that enabled us to spend $ where it really mattered to us and save where it didn't, and led a team who worked carefully and swiftly. When they came upon some problems under our floor and behind our appliances -- which hadn't been touched since 1986 -- they fixed everything quickly and well and still got the job done within the estimated time frame. I strongly recommend Ardo for any remodeling job. They do great work, are honest and diligent, and are enjoyable folks. You can't go wrong with Ardo.

My house was in desperate need of some hand to house resuscitation. I had interviewed many contractors and they could neither envision what I was describing nor did they have that honest vibe. Paul and Carl Arnold understood all of quirky ideas, and they made them come to life, and added to many that I didn't even know were possible, They were prompt, courteous, humorous, attentive, and the quality of craftsmanship was incredible. They completely remodeled by deck to a bi-level deck, with the lower deck housing a swim spa, Their architect presented many great options. They gutted my kitchen, and even used a narrow section of the garage to move the bathroom from off the kitchen to more private space, They made amazing use of the space, and now my kitchen is huge and fabulous with more storage than I could dream. They used an old tree form their property to make a sliding barn door into the bathroom. They also custom made beautiful live edge shelves that cover the wall at one end of my kitchen, and a live edge vanity in the bathroom. When I couldn't find a certain stone that I wanted for a wall in the bathroom, Carl found a connection, and his person found my stone where no one else could. I can't say enough about their professionalism and ability to make a person's dream come to. I used to get depressed coming home, not any more.

ARDO did a great job of listening to what I wanted and providing excellent craftsmanship to rise to the challenge! (It was such a pretty finished product that it won an award in a magazine for best bathroom remodel of the year in Maryland). It is so nice to TRUST the people working in your house. It was the first time I had ever had a project done where there was a part of me that was sad to see the guys leave. They were pleasant to work with and made every effort to have the project be the least invasive as possible. They always kept things functioning for as long as possible so that we would not be inconvenienced.

ARDO was the perfect contractor for our first floor remodel that included the kitchen/great room, mudroom, laundry room and powder room. They have an architect on staff, Jim, who worked with us as long as we needed to get the plan right before starting the job. Since we were bumping walls out it was important to me that the company involved have an architect to make sure that the plans worked seamlessly with construction. While the kitchen was inoperable, ARDO made us very comfortable in the basement by moving and hooking up our fridge and gas stove, plus some of the old, removed kitchen cabinets. Our foreman, Tom, was exceptional. In one instance he caught a fault in materials (our prefab flooring) that resulted in our choosing a hardwood floor instead and we are so delighted with the result. He is also a master woodworker and solved many design issues with his own ingenuity. We have recommended ARDO to several friends who have also benefited from Paul, Jim and Tom's dedication to quality workmanship.

ARDO built a large addition onto the back of our 33 year old house, consisting of a new family room, custom kitchen, enlarged mudroom, and enlarged and remodeled master bathroom upstairs. The project also included a 10' x 42' front porch, a screened back deck, replacement of all plumbing, upgraded electrical panel, a second heat pump, new roof, vinyl siding, and new windows throughout the house. ARDO's staff architect worked very closely with us throughout the planning and execution of the project. He listened carefully to our needs and developed a design that met our requirements and fit our budget. Once the project began, the ARDO team worked quickly and professionally, followed through on every issue, and went out of their way to make the entire project very easy from our perspective. Every member of the team was patient, soft-spoken, and courteous; not only with us, but also with each other and the subcontractors working on site. ARDO completed the project on schedule and within budget. Now, more than two years since the project was completed, we continue to be extremely pleased with all aspects of our “new” old house, from the architectural design innovations, to the solid craftsmanship of the construction. We would wholeheartedly recommend ARDO to anyone planning to remodel their home.

We employed Ardo Contracting, Inc. to design and build a two-story addition which included a vaulted sunroom on the upper level and a guest suite below. The work included enlarging and remodeling the kitchen, expanding the master bath, and converting a powder room to a full bath. In addition, Ardo reworked the entryway, installed custom railings on the stairway, and installed hardwood flooring throughout the upstairs living area. Finally, Ardo replaced the roof, deck, and all windows and doors in the house. Beginning with the initial planning and design phase, Ardo’s in-house architect worked closely with us and suggested the best way our vision could be executed. His knowledge of construction allowed us to avoid potential problems and cost overruns during the remodel process. The architect worked with us through several designs of the sunroom in order to maximize light while maintaining structural integrity and adequate insulation. He also worked with us on all details of the construction, such as placement of light switches and fixtures. Throughout the entire process, he was professional, respectful, and pleasant. His cost estimates proved to be accurate. The construction took approximately nine months to complete. The timeline was consistent with the original estimate, plus the additional work we requested. The construction manager, who worked with us on a daily basis, was always timely, reliable, and cheerful. He listened carefully to our questions and gave well thought-out answers, often providing creative solutions to meet our remodeling needs. He was a master craftsman in his own right, showing great attention to detail. His tile installations (two bathrooms and a kitchen backsplash) are works of art. He was able to work with the other craftsmen to guarantee that all work was always done to our satisfaction. He ensured that our property was always neat and tidy at the end of every day. The final product was excellent and exceeded our expectations in every way. The Ardo team was easy to work with. Whenever we had a question that our construction manager was unable to answer, the owner of Ardo would come over immediately to gauge the situation and suggest a solution. When we requested changes to the original construction plan, he was accommodating and the costs were reasonable. The fact that Ardo is family-owned and many of the employees are family or friends made the construction process easier. Where subcontractors were necessary (e.g., insulation installation and electricity), Ardo had had a long relationship with them. We were always impressed by the responsiveness of the entire Ardo team. In conclusion, we found our remodeling project with Ardo to be a very satisfying experience and we would recommend them without reservation. Ardo’s motto, “We build satisfaction” isn’t just a slogan, but a statement of fact.

Our architectural firm is one of strong design with a considerable amount of precision and custom details. Ardo Inc. continues to be capable of delivering to our high standards. We have worked with them for at least the past decade and find them to be a very talented group of people; both in the office as well as on the job site.
