Working with Barr, to put my visions into a reality has been such an "amazing" experience. Barr is professional and very personable. She is creative and knowledgable in all aspects of design ( products, fixtures, accessories , colors). If you have any questions or concerns , she is quick to respond. Barbara did a wonderful job with our home. She has fantastic taste and was able to execute the design concepts really smoothly. We also were pleased with a lot of the intangibles--such as how do you decide shade colors and fabrics and know it will work. She also chose a lot of decorative art for us which really balances well with the overall feel and aesthetic of the house--this was something we never could have figured out. She also customized a bedroom for our daughter-a 6 year old girls "fantasy" room--she loves her space. One can see that Barbara has a significant amount of experience with a wide range of projects, both commercial and residential. The breadth of her experience enables her to get the entire space to work. Barbara also works quickly and professionally. Barbara responds quickly to messages and takes care of everything. She was great to work with and we look forward to working with her on the next project.

I had a very good experience with Park Place Design. Barbara really came through and added tremendous value to remodel. I highly recommend Barbara for several reasons: Reliable--Barbara was always there when I needed to communicate with her. She is good at returning phone calls, texts, and emails. Knowledgeable-- "Just trust me" is a phrase she used several times during our selection of colors, schemes, fixtures, and furniture. Boy, oh boy; am I glad I trusted her knowledge! Efficient-- Barbara managed to take care of everything I needed to do, but for which I had no time! She took care of the ordering and deliveries of the materials, supplies, and furniture I needed. Her efficiency allowed me to focus more on my job and less on the details of the remodel. Because of her effiency, I did not have to stress like I otherwise would have. Results oriented-- I have a lot of people walk into my practice... So many of them make positive comments about the colors of the walls, the furniture, and even the mirrors! The end result of the project really did wind up looking like it was intended-NICE! I am about to start another phase of remodeling and Barbara was immediately on my list of people to engage for this project. Barr is very intuitive, after meeting with you she understands your needs and taste. She will work with your budget to recommend options for furniture, fabric, what have you. I have worked with her for various room projects over 8 years. I keep coming back to Barr because there is no one else who understands my desires more! I have loved every room and piece of furniture, rugs and lighting within that we have done together.

We hired Park Place Design earlier this year to design our kitchen, laundry, bath and master bedroom. Being an architectural photographer and shooting a number of projects around the bay area I immediately noticed Bar's attention to detail and aesthetic. Bar took the time to understand our style, desire to create an opening living space, and the contractors we were working with. She made recommendations on a range of products that fit within our budget in order to achieve the style we wanted. We are nearing completion of the project and couldn't be happier. The contractor working on the house commented how well thought out the layout was and the detailed plans made for an easy translation from design to build. If you are looking for someone with lots of talent, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to do a whole house project, this is your lady! Barbara understands construction and interior design, which is a unique and wonderful combination. She can talk construction with your contractor, but she can put a fabulous set of color boards together or show you CAD sketches that get your juices flowing! As a cabinet specialist, I have worked with Barbara for a decade on many projects --she's a gem in the industry and I highly recommend her.

Barbara was extremely professional and courteous. Good ideas and excellent product knowledge. Very open and communicative and easy to work with. She did a lot little extras such as talking to the trades people and working with the contractor. The final product is beautiful! A full kitchen and master bathroom remodel!

We had been living with an outdated kitchen in our San Francisco home for over twenty-five years. My wife had threatened to boycott her delicious cooking if we didn't upgrade our kitchen. Barbara worked with me on a total ground up remodel in Diablo Country Club . She is very talented and skilled. The finished product is on her website and speaks for itself. Barbara is very easy to work with and is very flexible when it comes to changes that I felt were important. Her creativity is abundantly clear and her product knowledge made choices of fixtures , colors and design effects an exciting adventure for me. The cost of her services were very reasonable and a very small percentage of the project. She also brings with her a set of highly skilled contractors that I used. I got the best of both worlds- a extremely talented Designer and a set of very skilled craftsman. The results are spectacular , SHE IS THE VERY BEST. I could not have completed the project with out her.

Barr did a fabulous job designing the remodel of our master bathroom and kitchen. Perfection from day 1 till the end...she stayed in constant contact with my contractor and I overseeing every detail.
