About Us

Blue Horse Woodwoodworks is a family owned and operated business in North Central Mississippi in the heart of the Delta. Blue Horse Woodworks was founded in 2000 when Robert Wells and his son Chris, decided to move away from homebuilding and concentrate on their craftsmanship and woodworking skills. After 24 years doing business as Southern Construction, Robert and Chris are now fulfilling their dreams of operating a cabinetry and custom woodworking shop. In 2006 Robert and Chris decided to add Antique Heart Pine flooring to their offerings. Chris attended and completed two National Hardwood Flooring Association (NWFA) classes in wood flooring, installation and finishing.

Blue Horse Woodworks did and excellent job on the construction of the interior of our home. They completed custom cabinet projects in the bathrooms, bedrooms, and den. All the custom crown molding, floor trim and staircase was designed and built by them. They also installed and finished the reclaimed pine wood flooring throughout the house. their work is exceptional and I would recommend them highly.

Blue Horse Woodworks has worked for me on numerous projects over the last 12 years. Everything from Trim installation, custom stairs, whole house cabinets, mantles, shutters, and hardwood floor installation and finish. The projects range from a few hundred dollars to almost a hundred thousand dollars. Their cabinet work is exceptionable, trim work is flawless and floors are finished to perfection, I will use Blue Horse every time its possible.

Blue Horse Woodworks has done an excellent job building and installing custom cabinets in my home for the Kitchen, Master Bath, and Walk-In Closet. They also installed and finished reclaimed pine floors in my Master Bedroom and Closet, the Kitchen, and Den. They are meticulous in their work and very professional.
