Have moved again...to my home Studio and in May 22 opened spaces in Painted Tree-Hilltop Shoppes, Virginia Beach-booth C12, S15 and for the month of December 22 F25. This move is better for you because we have personal time to meet and talk. (757)428-3455 to schedule. I may still fly the flag at my home too. Tyde says YES to that! I will continue to order as you need items. BTW-Just received notice of the Best of Houzz 2021 Service award again! Receiving Best of Houzz 2014 - 2021 and Featured on Houzz is very humbling. Thank you to all my clients for this, without you we would not be here. The Sterling Seahorse is both a working Interior Design firm with now an online presence. Thank you our great customers for nominating The Sterling Seahorse. Interior remodeling takes a special relationship with our clients, thank you for your trust in us! Our Online (soon) Retail Boutique offers local artisan works as well as national recognized custom furnishing vendors. Our in-home Design Studio also gives you the opportunity to get hands on with your design with all selection of fabrics, wall-coverings, and samples. The boutique will go online this year with curated items found at the various markets I attend-LOOK for great ideas! and call me to place an order. The retail boutique is now closed and the move to online is being created. A new HOME Interior Design Studio is up and has taken its place.

Cathy Walsh did a great job for our 1990's condo remodel. She has an eye for detail and color. We were so grateful that she oversaw the project with a team of professionals. She listened to our preferences and created a style space that we really love. Her suggestions around flooring, rugs, furniture, and light fixtures were spot-on! We are delighted to be living in a contemporary but classic coastal design, instead of the '90s! I only regret I can post just 6 pictures!!!

Thank you so much for this review it was a really fun project. While I worked closely (from far away) with my clients I was given an open contact idea plan. This means I would send them my thoughts about products so I could get to know them better, to see their vision for their home away from home, leading and guiding to a new look while adding a bit of home to keep them comfortable. I was given a budget that I was kept loosely to but we did add a kitchen remodel before we were done. Yes the old kitchen looked old as we got into the new! It was a great job with an absolutely wonderful view. Thank you both- enjoy your real first summer in your new place!

Cathy did a fantastic job helping me sort through the thousands of options when it came time to select custom living room furniture. She walked me through step by step helping me choose the size, type of couch and chairs, the fabrics, and colors that I was way overwhelmed by. She listened to everything I wanted and went above and beyond helping me select the perfect pieces for my house. I would absolutely use her again for my next project!

Cathy was so wonderful to work with. We were renovating our home and got her involved in the process to assist with some paint color decisions and with window treatments. She quickly developed a sense of our style and had great recommendations. She gave us the pros and cons for various choices and worked really hard to find just the right fabrics and styles. She also helped us pick out wallpaper for the foyer and powder room, and made a great suggestion for tile to be installed on the newel post of our entry stairway - never would have thought of it, but it looks great! We only wished we had gotten her involved sooner. But next time we definitely will!

Cathy Walsh is an amazing designer and has a "6th sense" when it comes to color and space planning. My husband and I remodeled our beach cottage unexpectedly this winter and Cathy came to the rescue! Space planning is her forte and she created an amazing kitchen and living space for our family. She chose wonderful colors for the wall and furniture as well. The space turned out better than expected and I would recommend Cathy Walsh for any job, large or small.

Cathy Walsh of The Sterling Seahorse in Virginia Beach is an extraordinary interior designer. She assisted my husband and I in totally renovating a single home here in Virginia Beach while we were living in Atlanta. She guided us through flooring, painting, lighting, window treatments, and structural changes. She managed all contractors being sure the quality of workmanship was up to her standards and ours. Because of Cathy, we have a wonderful home. She guided us and took care of all details. She is totally amazing.

Cathy Walsh, owner of Sterling Seahorse, worked with me to select the major pieces to furnish my LR, DR, and sunroom. This was my first experience using a designer and I know that without her I couldn't have achieved the unified look that I now have. She helped me to clarify my own style and gave me a little push beyond my comfort zone (which I wanted her to do) without being too pushy. Cathy was pleasant, professional, and proactive. She never left a detail unfinished. When a wicker piece began to crack, she immediately replaced it. When a bench started to squeak, she had it fixed. I have asked Cathy for help with other areas of my house and would not hesitate to do so again.
