C & J FENCING

Buyer beware... I have used C&J Fencing in the past and sometimes they do acceptable work. But, when you get a bad team or issues with the work due to their bad design, you will likely not be able to get them to fix it properly and have to spend additional $ to get it done right. In the end it is just the luck of the draw and therefore I don't recommend them. Any company that doesn't stand behind their work shouldn't be considered for your job. There prices seem good, but not after you have to invest additional time and money to make it right. I have learned my lesson the hard way and will never use them again. Beware.

Exteremly disappointed at the fence they made for us. They simply lie! On the first day Ryan came to give an estimate, he said they can build the fence to match another part, and after installation they are totally different and they now give different excuses. Worst customer service ever. They only lie so they can get the job. NOT RECOMMENDED.

Totally Unprofessional. We got an estimate and planned months out. Everything seemed to be in order and as the day approached my neighbor and I prepared for C&J to demo and replace our fence by removing all the ivy that was actually keeping the old fence up. I confirmed weeks out that the project was still on and thumbs up. Knowing that our project is on a very narrow street I again confirmed with the office and asked what kind of truck they'd be using about a week out. It was then I was informed it would be a 40' long truck. Long story short, they backed out of the job when their truck would not fit on the street - they showed up and then left - no communication about next steps, nothing, just gone. I called the office, and was assured they'd be back, then called again a few hours later when I had no response and still no one on site at which time I was told we'd be re-scheduled. Given that I am not a fencing contactor, nor do I know their fleet or equipment, this is something that should have been caught in the beginning stages... instead, my neighbor and I are left without a fence and a flimsy apology saying they can't do the work.

My neighbor selected C&J after receiving several bids for our shared fence. I had no choice in the matter but to agree with my neighbor. Turns out that C&J has TERRIBLE customer service. Their leadership is nearly impossible to get in touch with directly. Their workers lack the ability to communicate effectively in the field or make any decisions. My personal experience was infuriating as the workers did a hack job on my mature grape vines that were growing on galvanized wire connected to the old fence. The workers also did a terrible job of tidying up after the job was completed, leaving piles of dirt, staples, and nails strewn about. The owner, Chris, did eventually somewhat resolve the issues I had with the original job but not without me demanding an onsite meeting with him and me pestering the office with dozens of calls, emails, and voicemails. Avoid this company!

If you need a fence this company is a great company to work with. I got several quotes and for what they give you theirs was the best quote. They also provided the quote on the spot so I could do a fast comparison to the other quotes I had received but had to wait several days to a week to receive. They are a busy company which says a lot so should you wish to book a job with them know that it may take a few months for your project to start. They built a fence and 3 gates in a day and half and I was very impressed with their work.
