About Us

A Designer, Writer and Speaker featured in Belle as one of the "Mood Makers for 2011" and their 2012 "Decoration Issue" Darren Palmer is an established member of the design community. Contributing to Australian GQ magazine, Luxury Home Design and other publications, design projects grace the pages of Belle, Grand Designs Aus. Mag, Design Decoration Annual & Renovate Magazine to name a few. Darren featured on The Block 2011, Guest Judged in 2012 and is a full time judge on "The Block" in 2013. An adept public speaker and event host Darren Palmer launched the new Nespresso U and is the brand ambassador for Carpet Court Australia's (link to: http://www.carpetcourt.com.au/) new designer direction appearing on TVCs, outdoor and all marketing collateral. He also had the pleasure in 2012 of hosting the media launch of Decoration Design Melbourne (link to: http://www.decorationdesign.com.au) . My husband and I were extremely impressed with Darren's ideas, professionalism and ability to work to a budget. I would not hesitate to recommend him to friends, family and anyone who was looking to renovate their existing home or build a new home.

I asked Darren Palmer to help me with the interior decorating of my apartment 3 years ago and the results was spectacular. I could not be happier and highly recommend him.His easy to work with, reliable and a wealth of ideas and contacts. Darren drew his inspiration from nature to create a balance between classy and earthy. The earthy colours was complimented with an array of layered natural textures. The end result was a soft inviting and homely space that is sensible , elegant and most of all masculine...just what I wanted! Thanks a million Darren, your a genius! Andre Potts Point NSW

We are in the process of renovating a 150 year old terrace in Paddington and asked Darren to come up with a concept for our formal lounge and bedroom - incorporating some existing pieces such as light fittings and curtains. Darren did an amazing job - I could not be happier! He came up with ideas we would never have thought of. We now have two very sophisticated rooms that are also family friendly. Everyone who comes to the house compliments us on the lounge room and it is a great space to have friends over. And the bedroom is amazing - we have a 5 metre x 1.5 metre padded bedhead! Check out Darren's website for a photo. The rooms look just as good today as they did when Darren finished them - and I have no doubt they will remain contemporary for years to come We plan on being Darren's longest client - we have about another 6 years to go on the renovation and a lot more rooms to do! I can't recommend Darren strongly enough.

In casting for HomeMADE the Nine Network sought experienced and talented professionals with an individual aesthetic and the ability to meet and manage a design brief and budget under extraordinary circumstances. In participating, Darren Palmer proved himself to be one of Australia's most dynamic designers by excelling in the competition. His passion and commitment left me so impressed that I employed Darren to consult on my own home. Now complete he has once again delivered a beautiful design solution, on time and on budget. I could not be happier with the transformation of my home and could not recommend Darren Palmer Interiors highly enough.

I am pleased to highly recommend Darren Palmer Interiors. Darren has been extremely professional in his approach to our project and most importantly was attentive and sensitive to our vision for our home. Darren clearly understood our family needs and managed the project accordingly, from budget through to style and functionality. Darren's passion and excitement made us feel that our home was as important to him as it is to us and the results speak for themselves. We are absolutely thrilled with the results of Darren's styling and design choices for our home. Thanks to Darren, we truly feel that we are living in our dream home. I have no hesitation in recommending Darren Palmer Interiors.

This was my first renovation and Darren Palmer made the whole project virtually stress-free. I wanted 2 bathrooms renovated and the downstairs laundry converted into a hidden laundry and guest powder room. Darren organized everything from the tradesmen that worked on the project to the fixtures, tiles and glass and cabinets. Communication was easy with a combination of personal visits, phonecalls and promptly replied emails. Any changes that had to be made from the original plans were handled with speed and minimal fuss. The powder room solution was ingenious and still impresses my visitors and the bathrooms now are personalized, have more impact and more storage. I plan to use Darren for further renovations and would highly recommend others to talk to him before embarking on any project.

Commented: A question regarding finishesTop is a black caesarstone. It's got a slight fleck in it , solid black shows too many smudges and marks. The veneer is an oak. I'm unsure what it was called but it was a natural oak with a low sheen ...
