Darcy, with Designing First Impressions, has worked with our homeowners association on and off over the past 2 years recommending colours for our fence and home exteriors. Making recommendations for one home is a lot of work, doing so to please a group of 60 homeowners can be daunting. Everyone has their own preferences, biases and opinions yet our requirement was for our residents to be satisfied with an upgraded, fresh and modern look for our community without colours that are temporarily in vogue. Hiring a contractor who is personable, professional and extremely patient to walk us through the process, educate us on colour and design while being conscious of the wants and needs of a diverse group of homeowners was a critical step in working towards a conclusion. Darcy did an excellent job in moving us forward. She has always been prompt in responding to our needs and patient with our endless questions and concerns all while clearly enjoying her work and knowing we would never be able to satisfy everyone’s particular style or tastes. Darcy presented her recommendations at our community AGM in a thorough manner answering questions in a way that was professional, unbiased and nonconfrontational. I am having a new house built and Darcy came to every vendor and helped me pick out flooring, cabinets, counter tops, tile around the fireplace, back splash tile, light fixtures and paint colors. Her knowledge about all products is outstanding! I found Darcy to be very patient and she worked with me to satisfy every expectation I was looking for. The end result is now I have a beautiful new home that I can move in to.
