We recommend Dave most highly. He just completed extensive repairs and improvements to our 5,000 sf barn with high quality work, and quickly. Dave remembers everything you've discussed and comes up with smart solutions to issues. We also appreciated his effort on the front end to work with us to get to a price we could afford, offering alternatives we could consider. He also has a good crew. We learned about Dave from three friends happy with his work, and now we're on his list again for projects next year.

I hired DSW to add a screened porch and dormer for a half bath in our loft. His work is exceptional. I am impressed by how he thinks things out to make them better and if he can't find something he builds it. I worked directly with Dave Wilt to the design and build my new home in upstate New York. I cannot praise highly enough his insights, gentle guidance, expertise, craftsmanship, and honesty. I cannot imagine any other house than the one he helped me create, or one in which I could feel is more "mine." I'm a project producer and so I am used to collaborating with other people. Seldom have I encountered someone as easy and enjoyable to work with. Most of all, I quickly came to trust in Dave's competence and work quality. We had wanted to remodel and winterize a small summer cottage in Kerhonkson, NY. Based on our experiences with DSW Contracting, who had done excellent work for us on smaller jobs, there was no question we wanted Dave and his team to handle this project. We consulted with Dave in all aspects of design and conception. He gave very thoughtful and expert advice and ultimately convinced us that is would be a better use of funds to build a new house on the existing foundation. That would be the way to achieve all our stated goals for the new design. Since we had never done anything like this before, we were a bit nervous, but we knew we could trust Dave Wilt. Not only did Dave and his amazing team repair the old foundation while raising it two feet, they also built us our dream house. I think the key to DSW Contracting is their attention to detail. 100% of this house was custom built by Dave, including custom cabinetry in bathroom and kitchen, polished cement counter tops, sliding barn wood bathroom door. I could go on. Dave's estimate for this project was extremely accurate. If you are thinking of buying a home, new or older, think again and have Dave build one for you.
