Our house was a challenge. It was old, drafty and the layout was not made for a busy modern family. The rooms were connected by narrow doorways, small closets and lots of space that was not being used and enjoyed fully. We had a vision for what the house could be. Danny made that vision a reality. He listened carefully. He never tried to force his vision. It was always about designing the house that I loved. That came through in his approach. Was thoughtful and creative with all of his suggestions and recommendations. Creative, practical, providing budget minded solutions that made the house truly enjoyable in every room and great to entertain in. I thoroughly enjoyed working with him. I would highly recommend him without question.

In the summer of 2015 we put an extension on our house. The first big decision was which architect to use. We are so glad we chose Danny. From our initial meeting we knew he was right for our project. His designs were truly spot on to our vision, and of course he was able to take the project to the next level with his expertise and suggestions. He helped us select 4 contractors to get first bids from to get a sense of the construction budget, and the final bidding and contractor selection. He remained engaged through the entire construction process. We are thrilled with the outcome. I always recommend him to friends and neighbors.

Danny is a talented, creative, solutions-oriented and collaborative architect. We have done 2 projects with him-- an entire new house design and a major renovation to an existing home. The second project was actually more complex than the first since it involved substantial changes to the exterior complicated driveway/landscape. We successfully secured town variances on both projects and were thrilled with the incredible outcome we created with Danny. He is a pleasure to work with, has an unassuming quality about him and is very reasonably priced. My wife and I purchased a house in a desirable town with the intention of demolishing it and building our "dream home". Needless to say, we interviewed MANY architects in the process. It wasn't until we met Danial Dubinett, however, that we knew we had found "the one". Danny is the consummate professional. Not only is he gifted in his craft (Architecture), he is a wonderful human being as well. Even though we changed our minds numerous times throughout this project (which lasted over 1 year), Danny never lost patience with us. He incorporated our ideas quite nicely into the final design, and proved adept at reconciling my wife's vision with my own, all while remaining mindful of our budgetary constraints. On the rare occasional when Danny had a concern about one of our ideas, he was able to tactfully suggest alternatives that were better than anything my wife and I had considered. After our plans were finalized, Danny continued to remain quite involved in our project. He helped us select a Contractor and has intervened on our behalf when issues have arisen in the building of our home. My wife and I firmly believe that Danny gave our project as much time and attention as he would have given his own "dream home", and for that we are grateful. Danny Dubinett guided us through three major building projects, including a beautiful whole-house renovation and 3-story addition to our historically designated home. At the outset we interviewed four architects, and Danny stood out as the one who really listened, comprehended our needs, and responded with on-target, inspiring ideas. Danny has a keen creative vision that is not only versatile but attuned to the specific needs and flavor of a project. He found elegant ways to bring our Victorian home into the 21st century, while staying true to its historic character and our design aesthetic. His sure feel for historical detail and architectural styles combined with his ability to brainstorm and sketch in real time made our design meetings amazingly productive. Danny also navigated the complicated process of obtaining historic permits and zoning variances and represented us at municipal meetings. His knowledge of regulations meant we received our permits on the first try, avoiding time-consuming re-applications. After working with Danny we now enjoy a home that has both historic charm and modern comfort. The all-new kitchen, breakfast room, master suite, laundry room, guest bath, en-suite bath, and attic bedroom flow seamlessly from the original house. And the newly renovated powder room, butler’s pantry, family room, and bedrooms have been given a lovely new lease on life. Danny is a pleasure to work with, patient, easy to communicate with, artistically gifted, and the perfect guide through the sometimes overwhelming world of building and renovating.

Dubinett Architects crafted and designed our remodeled basement. From the early stages of planning and brainstorming what we wanted, Dubinett was always accessible and easy to work with. He is a true visionary and was always available to answer our questions during the remodel.
