Dunn & Stone bring a high level of craftsmanship and skill unmatched by many. From the beginning, we were impressed by the knowledge and articulation of Chris Lebow. He visited our land and talked to us about elevations, trees, water, slab and all of the factors informing the placement of our future home. He explained the process of soil tests, surveys, and what to expect in the custom home building process. Fred Loucks aimed to make home building fun in the design and layout process. The women in the design center shared our excitement as we ran through tile, fixtures, and more. People call home building stressful for a reason. We definitely experienced stress along the way, but everyone at Dunn & Stone were as excited about our home as we were and that imbued a level of confidence and peace that got us to the finish line and one beautiful home. From top to bottom we are impressed with the detail and quality of our home. We’re truly grateful for Chris and the team for building a home that is as safe and sturdy as it is stunning. Thanks to them we have a place where our family can make memories for generations to come.

We absolutely love our new home! The entire Dunn and Stone team was amazing to work with, as well as very patient and friendly, tending to every small request we had. They designed our house to maximize the view on our property and had many great recommendations. We could not be happier with our home and so glad we chose them to build our house. Todd and Holly were very helpful in explaining the process and different stages and making sure everything was completed timely.

Wonderful experience from start to finish. Office team (Paul/Caitlin/Holly) did a great job guiding us through the concept/detailed design/contracting stages of the build. The team was very patient with us while we worked through the custom floor plan ideas. Really enjoyed the design center in Pinehurst as we were able to see examples of upgrades/features in the model home, in addition to the actual items that we were selecting for our home (e.g. brick, tiles, banister, pool decking, door handles, etc.). The actual home building was very smooth, even with all of the political and COVID impacts. Todd did a great job communicating forecasted work to be done, in addition to ensuring that trades completed their work on time and with the utmost level of craftsmanship. Todd operates at a superior level of quality that his trades are expected to deliver for the customer - period. From the moment you meet Fred & Chris, it is obvious that the company prides itself on customer oriented solutions while delivering a superior product in a very competitive market. This mindset truly resonates throughout Dunn & Stone. If we ever decide to sell this house, we would build with Dunn & Stone again without hesitation.

You ever just wake up from an incredible dream just to realize it is all real? Yup, that is how this whole journey with Dunn and Stone has felt. From the time my wife and I met with Paul and then the incredible team of Corey, Caitlin, Holly, Sara and all the professional teams within Dunn and Stone, to the walking into 'our' new home, well, it is a Dream come true. Communication is Excellent. Attitude is Kind. Patience is Extraordinary. Talent is Out of this World. I have and will continue to Highly Recommend Dunn and Stone to everyone I meet. My new neighbors have made many comments about the quality of the house, the cleanliness of the build site during the build, the excellence of the finished project. After the move in, the service does not end. Dunn and Stone is here, ready, willing and quite able to ensure that everything is up to their standards and even then, they still surprise us and exceed our expectations. Could not have asked for a better experience. My only regret is that I can only have one of their homes.... Also, if you have a difficult lot (water way, erosion problems etc.) this is the builder you can trust that the job is done right with a civil engineer on staff. Highly Recommend!

We couldn't be happier with Dunn & Stone Builders! Our home in Magnolia was completed in July 2017. This is our second Dunn & Stone home. After researching several builders, it became evident that no one else could match the quality and competitive cost to build our home. We shared our design plans and they brought our dream home to life! What amazed us was that there were absolutely NO hidden costs, great communication throughout the project, and it was completed on time. Due to their awesome in-house design consultant, choosing exterior and interior finishes was so easy. Also, any warranty items after move-in were efficiently handled. While many homeowners complain about the building process, we feel fortunate that our build went very smoothly. After interviewing other builders, check out Dunn & Stone. I met with Kristi Wells at the Magnolia Office. Needless to say, she was absolutely a rock star. She was very pleasant in showed us around the model home and gave us the opportunity to view all of the model homes that were available. She also followed up with me via email and telephone multiple times to make sure everything that I needed was followed up on. If you're looking for quality customer service definitely stop by and pay Kristi a visit!!!

Dunn and Stone Builders are the best to work with! Very efficient and professional. As a Realtor and a personal owner of a Dunn and Stone home, I can contest that the quality is superb.

I thought the use of cabinetry in the kitchen (going to ceiling) was exceptional!! The ceiling height of the model home created an air of superlative spaciousness. The floor plan is very functional and the decor outstanding.

Dunn and Stone is building a house on our lot and it is almost completed. We have been very happy with the way the house is turning out and with all the people we have worked with. The few minor issues that have come up have been handled very well by Dunn and Stone.

Hired Dunn and Stone to build home on our lot. They put up a sign that said, "Extraordinary Custom Home". We ended up with tract home quality. Considering the poor quality of work by the sub's and lack of over site by the project manager, we have a tract house. Closet rods continue to fall down (break the cheap plastic rod ends they use), custom kitchen cabinet doors have short screws for mounting, and several have fallen out already. house was 3 months late. within 1 year, nails working out of dry wall. sanded grout used in bathroom tile with joints less than 1/32 inch wide.

Kristi wells was more than accomdating with all our requests and was always on top of our home. We enjoyed the relationship we made with her, never felt like"just business"

Generally we are pleased with the job they did on our new house. We were from CT and contracted D & S in February '12 to build our house with some alteration to the plan and we hired an inspected to check on the progress of the work. We came down in July to look at the house and noticed that a hot tub which we ordered was not installed. This was corrected. The water line loop which we ordered and paid for had no shut off valves. After numerous complaints, it was finally remedied but not done properly but functional. We ordered and paid for a flood light on the right side of the house. The light was installed on the left side instead. After numerous complaints this was NOT remedied. It will be very helpful if a flood light were to be installed on the right side of the house so I can go to my garden at night.

We had a great experience when purchasing our new home for our growing family. Kristi was a great accent in helping us find the right home for us. We have lived there for 3 years now and loving every minute of it. We also had our second child since then as well.

This company does some excellent work. When we were considering buying one of their homes they were very helpful in making sure that we comfortable and well informed about the entire experience. Our home is beautiful and is constructed with quality materials and even better craftsmanship. We've only had one problem arise that was covered by warranty and they had a technician at the house within a matter of hours. It's been a great experience working with them.

We had seen the work of Dunn and Stone prior to our building process, and knew they were the builders for us! Dunn and Stone provided a wonderful home for us and the building process went very smoothly and timely. The quality of workmanship along with the numerous upgrades they provided sold us!
