We cannot recommend Kathy Andersen highly enough. She and her assistant Christine were amazing to work with. Kathy is not only an awesome interior designer but more importantly she is a true professional in every sense. She invests in her clients and advocates for them when things aren’t going as intended with a vendor or a builder. We could sight numerous occasions when Kathy went to bat for us to get things rectified or redone to a better standard. She even offered to pay for a door redo out of her own fees, that’s how committed she was to her clients. As a designer she listened to what we wanted and made great suggestions to better our vision of what the house could be. She also pushed us to go outside our comfort zone, which while a little scary resulted in an even more amazing renovation than we ever imagined. Kathy also did well to keep a good eye on costs. She offered us alternatives from high end to more cost conscious options and always reminded us of where we were going on budget. Creative, Cooperative, Thrifty, Forceful, and a true client Advocate – the list of adjectives could go on. We won’t go anywhere else than Eklektik Interiors if we have to renovate again. Thank you Kathy!

Thanks Kevin for your kind words and recommendation. We thoroughly enjoyed working with you and Vicky are very happy with the end result. Your remodel turned out beautifully. Yes, we did have some challenges but nothing we couldn’t overcome together. Working long distance thru emails for a major renovation is something we have done before, and yes, it presents it’s own set of challenges, but even that was pretty easy.

We love what we do and it makes it even more satisfying when our clients are not only great to work with but see how invested we are in each project. We are blessed to get to work on such a personal level with our clients. Our homes are our foundation for living. We don’t take that lightly. Thanks for trusting us to make yours worthy of your family!

Stephanie was very patient and fulfilled every need. She offered multiple choices and worked hard to make me happy. She did great job with the fireplace, flooring, and furniture.

After our house flooded during Hurricane Harvey, I was completely overwhelmed by all the design and construction decisions required to put our house back together. I saw a posting for a free consultation at Eklektik Interiors. After an hour with John Taylor I hired him on the spot. I had never worked with a designer and my husband wasn’t thrilled about us spending what he believed to be “extra” money. But after our first design meeting I knew my husband was on board. John was amazing to work with. I truly believe he served as both a designer and marriage counselor through the whole process. I honestly don’t know how he made our house look so amazing with such a limited budget. He successfully merged both our styles in a way that made both of us happy. And he created a dream room for our 9-year-old daughter. Everyone who comes over comments on how beautiful our house looks. John also made everything more functional by re-configuring our kitchen, bathrooms, closets and laundry space. When you see the before and after photos it is clear John classed us up a bit. The circumstances that led us to John were unfortunate, but they truly were a blessing in disguise. We now have a house that we love and that works well for our family’s needs. We will never do another remodel or design project without John and Eklektik Interiors.

I first hired Kathy Anderson in 1997 to do some decorating of my home because I was having a party and wanted some accessories. She came and installed accessories and rearranged my furniture and let me take a look and keep what I wanted. I loved everything and did not return one item. This progressed into a redo of my entire home. Once I saw what she could do, I was hooked. She renovated my home in Klein. Then I pre-purchased a loft on the Waterway in Woodlands, Texas. She not only designed my loft, but did the entire build out. It was and is still fabulous. It was completed over 10 years ago but still looks relevant today. Kathy has not just become my designer but our ‘family’ designer. She has designed numerous family homes, as well our businesses, a golf club and an equestrian center. Currently she is assisting me at my Austin residence on Lake Travis. I am excited to see the end result of our collaboration. I appreciate her willingness to listen to me and work with me and my vision. She always considers my needs and wants however, she will reign me in to keep me on track and in budget. She is not afraid to tell me no but educates as to why. Over the last twenty years we have done numerous projects together and we have not only had a great professional relationship but through it all, we have become great friends. I would recommend no one else.

John Taylor was my main designer and he did an amazing job on my house. He helped me design the layout, elevations, do selections and furniture. I had some difficulties with my builder and John was able to help me navigate the best way to handle the issues and then manage the solution to fix them. I am so happy with the outcome and everyone who walks in and sees my house has nothing but amazing things to say about how gorgeous the house looks. My project lasted close to 2 years and John was a complete joy to work with and I would work with him again on other projects.

Love love love Kathy Anderson and Eklektik Interiors. My husband and I have been working with Kathy for over 18 years and once again she is helping us with our remodel of our house. New kitchen, new bathrooms, new paint throughout, new floors, walls moved, new fireplace and soon new furniture. Kathy always comes up with such great unique ideas. She can do it all. I can’t wait until our remodel is complete!!! Photos soon!

I hired Kathy and John to design a kitchen and master bath and they knocked it out of the park. Every person that walked into the house and glimpsed at the kitchen said WOW! I've used them on several other jobs since then and they haven't disappointed me. I readily recommend them to my clients for kitchen, bathroom and closet design work.

We decided to remodel our home which was built in 1999. The finishes had just become dark, outdated and traditional. We knew what we wanted, we just couldn't put it all together. We met John and Kathy when they came to our house, they were a pleasure to deal with and kept our budget and wants / likes in the forefront. They also challenged us to do things that we didn't know we wanted. When we sat down the first time to view finishes, we said yes!
