Ordered in October 2021 was told it would be ready by Jan/Feb 2022. In April was told it was next stove to enter production. The company stopped answering the phone. It was paid in full in 2021 and no sign that it’s going to be delivered.

We highly recommend Elmira Stove Works (we dealt with the London location). We ordered the Enviro Westport Steel gas stove in December 2021, and it was installed towards the end of January 2022. The installation was efficient, and there was a follow-up made by Jordan who troubleshooted and corrected a small manufacturing defect. Although Jordan in particular was fantastic in providing an impressive level of customer support, each of the team members we dealt with from sales, installers, customer service and support were very professional and always pleasant. We are so happy with our purchase, the product itself and Elmira for recommending it to us!

I ordered a robin's egg blue 1954 range from Elmira and had it shipped to Hawaii. It’s gorgeous, and arrived without a scratch. Everything about working with them went off without a hitch, and with great customer service. The range is working beautifully.
It’s also been an absolute show-stopper…every single tradesperson who’s been here has come in the door, started introducing themselves…and then they see the stove and…across the board…every single one of them forgets what they’ve been talking about and exclaims “Wow! I’ve never seen anything like that before!” Then they all bring out their cameras and start taking pictures! I’ve now keep the little card from their company right by the stove and have them take a photo of it as well so they have the contact info.

We purchased these very expensive appliances and have a number of quality issues accumulating in rust spots and bubbles appearing on the painted surfaces of the stove and refrigerator. The company says this has happened before but in my case its due to living on an island and the environment. I disagree as I have inexpensive appliances and bare metal present in our new home ad no issues. I believe there were problems with the surface area prep before painting at the factory. Their only offer is allow me to purchase new appliances at 50% off retail or factory cost plus taxes and shipping. As they recognize these problems have occurred in the past I don't believe the consumer should be faced with a $7000 bill to replace appliances that are rusting in our high end display kitchen. Very unhappy with the product and their lack of accepting responsibility. I recommend you strongly consider this before purchasing

Comment from Elmira Stove Works:
To clarify... the appliances are almost 14 years old and were purchased by the customer as a dealer's display package. They were stored for several months (we don't know where or in what conditions) before they were installed in the customer's home. He not only lives "on an island" - his home backs onto a salt water strait off the Pacific Ocean, and is on the side of the island where the prevailing winds blow over the salt water towards his home, which is just a few yards from the shore. As he has stated, we have offered to replace these 14-year-old appliances at half of the current retail prices.

I absolutely LOVE my Elmira products. We got our mint green Northstar refrigerator in 2009 and just recently installed our mint green northstar gas range, hood and dishwasher! I love cooking on my range every morning and can not say enough positive words about all of their products. The range cooks evenly and the range is awesome and quiet. It just makes my day!

Absolutely fell in love with this refrigerator (Northstar 1951 model in Robin's Egg blue until it developed some problems 6 months later, including a tear in the fridge gasket and some issues with the doors which is why it's a four star rather than a five star rating. That being said,. Elmira Stove Works and the vendor Cabinet Works completely resolved the issues we were having, so thanks very much to both!

I was excited to give Elmira's Northstar model 1959 a try. I love the look of this fridge and it's great to see a larger, French-door model. The fridge is extremely expensive - about $6,500 - and I paid a whopping $1,000 delivery fee. Shortly after receiving the fridge, I noticed that the doors were extremely hard to close - the kids couldn't do it, and my husband and I were constantly having to get up to close the fridge behind them, or finding the door ajar (often overnight). After several months I noticed that the gasket was ripped.
Unfortunately, I was the in the middle of renovating a six-bedroom house (on top of my job) and didn't feel the issue was a big deal - so it took me 15 months to get around to contacting Elmira about the issue. They immediately claimed that the fridge was out of warranty, and also insisted that the doors were just out of alignment. I exchanged about 30 emails and videos with Elmira trying to figure out how to adjust the doors myself - then gave up on them and started paying professionals to rebalance the doors and replace the gasket (which was ripping open about every 5 months). I've spent about $700 in less than two years on these adjustments and replacing the gaskets. But Elmira insisted that there nothing wrong with the fridge and that I was just not adjusting it properly.
Eventually, Elmira did admit that it had re-designed the door hinges after receiving multiple complaints from other customers. They sent me the replacement hinges -- along with a detailed, multi-page instruction manual for alerting the fridge by drilling into finished stainless steel to enlarge the hinge holes. (Photo of these instructions attached, so you can have a sense of what Elmira expects in terms of DIY from its customers.) At the same time, though, the VP insisted that the problem was caused by a "delivery issue," that it was not a design problem, and that I was responsible for retrofitting the new hinges onto the fridge. Unfortunately, I was unable to find a certified repair technician or contractor who was willing to work on the fridge because it had been altered from the manufacturer's (WhirlPool) specs.
Fortunately, I had purchased the fridge from a distributor in W Virginia called Bars & Booths, and not directly from Elmira! Bars & Booths' owner, Barbara, was really fantastic: while Elmira washed its hands of the issue, she sent one of her own technicians all the way to DC to do the repair for me, at no charge. It took him almost two hours to do the repair and to rebalance the fridge, so it wasn't easy -- he stayed a long time and made absolutely sure that the doors were functioning properly. (The doors still make a strange bumping sound when they open - but we decided that was just the way the doors are!)
I'm extremely grateful to Bars & Booths, and I would recommend the store to absolutely anyone. They really stood by the product they sold me, and they really went out of their way to assist me in what was a very frustrating and expensive situation. Bars & Booths was so fantastic that I actually feel bad about leaving a bad Elmira review (as they are the distributor) -- but I just can't in good conscience fail to report honestly about my experience. Barbara assures me that Elmira is normally better than this, and I do believe her. I can also 100 percent attest that she will not leave you hanging if you do have a problem with Elmira! I would never buy an Elmira product again - but I will absolutely go back to Bars & Booths to shop the other brands of beautiful retro appliances that they carry!

Comment from Elmira Stove Works:
We had asked the customer if the fridge was level, and she said it was. (It wasn't.) Our dealer sent a servicer around the time of this review. It turns out Ms. Bruton put shims under the back of the fridge to make it easier to slide in and out. These tipped the fridge forward significantly, making the doors hard to close. The servicer was able to level the fridge and resolved the problem. The customer said she would retract the negative review.

I bought a white "1952" Northstar fridge from Elmira to go with my 1950's retro kitchen project. The fridge goes very well with my refurbished white 1952 O'Keefe and Merritt stove. The fridge was delivered on time (from Canada), is the perfect size and works great (I bought it 11 months ago). I get many compliments on the fridge!

I fell in love with these Vintage looking stoves and ovens the first time I saw them online. Ordered the stove with oven, in the wall oven, microwave and panel for dishwasher without ever seeing them in person. I am more than pleased with what I received. The convection ovens are wonderful and cook so evenly. I love the propane cook top, it might be difficult for shorter people as the burner height is fairly tall. I've attached pictures. A good friend has used them and wants the buy the same thing.

I have had this electric stove for 14 years in our basement kitchen/ dining room/ family room/ bedroom and bathroom area. Although I do not use it everyday, everything on this stove never failed me. Setting the timer was always tricky as it moves fast, just something you will eventually learn how to program it. In my main kitchen upstairs I have a 26 year old jenn-aire with the coil element. This is no longer available in the coil, I do not want a smooth cooktop as we have 3 newfoundland dogs and I use cast pans and put pans on top of side of stove when using one side, and I am a rough cook. I may very well replace that range with another Elmira stove, as I have cherry cabinets and a very romantic type décor in burgundy and black. I am very traditional and plan to stay that way. I march to the beat of a different drum. I strive for uniqueness. I will not switch to gas, as I would have to learn to cook all over again, and I do not want the worries of a gas leak in my home.

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM ELMIRA! The "antique stove" is flimsy and not substantial or well-made. The "french-door" refrigerator is a Whirlpool refrigerator with cheap, plastic-looking panels attached to the front. When we called, because we were so disappointed in the products, they were rude and unhelpful and actually hung up on me.
