December 15, 2023 RE: Roland Zoller Construction, CSLB Lic #950926 793 Old Canyon Road Fremont, CA 94536 The following is a review of the work completed by Roland Zoller Construction in Fremont. One year ago, I contracted with Roland Zoller to start doing flooring work in the kitchen on my rental property in Hayward. I found the quality of his work to be way above that of others I had previously hired. I discussed doing additional work on the home as this was the first time I had done any significant upgrades since I purchased the home 40 years ago. We decided to remodel the kitchen and bath and replace most windows with dual-pane windows. We also replaced all the doors including the entry door. The kitchen and bath required obtaining permits from the City of Hayward and coordinating with subcontractors for the plumbing and electrical requirements. Roland Zoller handled all of that and more. All I can say is that Roland Zoller was wonderful. His craftsmanship was the best. He oversaw and supervised the subcontractors, acquired all the required permits, and made sure all were successfully signed off by the City’s inspector. Roland was great to work with and kept me informed of the progress. I highly recommend Roland Zoller Construction to anyone who wants a professional job with the best craftsmanship. I wanted to share my experience with Roland Zoller Construction because of the FANTASTIC job that was done at my residence. Roland was highly communicative throughout the weeklong repair in my bathroom - he explained his process, coordinated times, kept me informed, all of which was super appreciated. I had a realistic timeframe, which also allowed me to plan around. The job was done well, was within budget, and was also done in the timeframe I was given. Throughout the week, Roland kept communication open. Not only is Roland skilled, he is also very kind and pleasant. The day after the repair was complete, Roland reached out to ask how things were working; to check in. a nice, professional and thoughtful touch! I am connecting him with my parents, who are planning a kitchen renovation. def would recommend!

We are a long time client of Roland going back to the early 2000's. Roland has renovated our home across 5 other projects throughout the years with the latest project being a gut renovation of our 3/4 bathroom (toilet, sink, shower-stall). We pick Roland because the work quality is top-notch, the attention to detail is superb, and Roland is the consummate professional in returning phone calls, arriving exactly on time, clear and consistent communication, and friendly, can-do attitude. Roland explains the details of the work, highlights any potential issues and works collaboratively to help us resolve them. There are no surprises with him - he is honest and will bring up an issue at the earliest possible time. And this is the priceless part and why you want Roland to improve your home - he really treats your home like he would his own. (Protecting the flooring with ramboard, sweeping out the garage to collect all wood shavings, leaving the work areas neat and tidy so you can use them during the renovation.). And his prices are fair and clearly itemized. In fact, this project was completed at $750 BELOW the estimated price! I've recommended his services to my neighbors and hope to use his services again next year when our painting and foyer floor are ready for a refresh.

I have used Roland Zoller for several years. He has always done a wonderful job no matter what the project was, & I’ve used him for many type jobs. He always cleans up after each job, he’s very professional & an all around nice guy. I’ve recommended him to friends & neighbors, & they’ve always been very satisfied with his work.

The two projects I hired Roland Zoller Construction for involved replacing damaged facia board along the roof line on the south side of the house; the second project was to repair damaged siding around an open-air skylight at the entryway. Roland handled both areas using the proper tools where needed such as scaffolding. It took a little longer than originally planned as the extent of dry rot around the skylight was greater than expected. Overall Roland did a great job and showed skill in selecting the proper type of wood and painting and he is very easy to work with. The price was higher than the original estimate due mainly to more extensive dry rot than anticipated. He kept us appraised of the extra charges as the project proceeded. Overall, I would rate the materials and workmanship as Superior and would definitely hire Roland again for work on our home.

I am so pleased to have found Roland to help repair my bathroom vanity. The base was ruined due to water damage and there was some mold starting. I was impressed that he took out the entire affected piece, not just the section, and made a new frame to support the entire base! He used superior wood (not particle board) and even supplied me with a much better base liner to cover it! I have never experieced such quality workmanship with other contractors used in the past. I would highly recommend Roland's company to anyone needing any type of home renovation!

Roland did an excellent job for us. We had a giant crack in our hallway ceiling. He removed the drywall and replaced it. He strengthened the rafters in the ceiling above the cracked area and beyond. He worked with the engineer I had draw up our plan. And gave the engineer information he needed to complete the work. He also added two flush mounted lights to our hallway that were not there before . He was always on time and responsive.

So I’m an early believer of Roland in fact watched as he moved from helping me with competent general fixit and move out move in IKEA furniture building and the like with some incredible precision woodwork in my Walk in closet (that were just too pretty and I’ve since moved into a guest room in our Bnb) to so much more. Ive relied on him for now 13 years and watched him becoming an extremely competent efficient affordable and precise carpenter and contractor.. He builds to last or to help it last as long as you need it so you can phase different improvements into manageable chunks. He has been from fairly flexible to a complete superhero in helping me realize my vision albeit in a more feasible budget. I’m saving for the next phase as we speak!

Roland was recommended to me by the realtor who sold me my house 20 years ago. I was very impressed with Roland's knowledge and care for my 102 year old house. He advised me on the best way to repair and maintain the original look of the house with modern techniques. He also advised me on possible trouble I may have with older houses' electrical system and wiring. I would fully recommend him for responsible and reliable repairs on older houses.

We had Roland come to our house for a small project. We found him very courteous and professional and he was clear in explaining what was required of the project. While he waited for the arrival of parts needed for the job, he communicated with us timely and proper. The quality of his work was top tier and not only that, he came back a few days for more detailed work to the finish. We will definitely hire him again the next time we have a project. We recommend him, hands down.

I would absolutely recommend Roland Zoller Construction. He fixed a structural repair to a wall inside my home. He was prompt, conscientious, and timely with his work. He gave an honest assessment of the problem and the best way to proceed. Once the wall was opened he was able to show me what needed to be done and explained everything. He took the time to rebuild the corner for support and was meticulous with the quality of his workmanship. He set up plastic and tarps to protect my floors and furniture. I was not only very happy with the outcome and quality of the work, but also how clean my home was during and after the job. I will definitely be calling him again for the items on my to do list. He did everything promised and more.

We are very pleased with choosing Roland Zoller Construction. We met Roland thru Legacy Marble of Fremont, Reynaldo, the Owner of Legacy Marble. Both Highly recommended & Licensed Construction Contractor and a Supplier of Cultured Marble for Kitchen/Shower Remodeling. Roland was very thorough in what he will do to demo our Walk-in Shower. His job was to demo and prep the Shower walls, Plumbing for Legacy Marble installation of the Cultured Marble we selected. There wasn't any reconstruction of Framing any walls with this remodeling, but did install a custom Rain-Drop Shower Head and new valves. He was upfront on unforeseen assessments and possibilities that may happen, dry rot, leaky pipes.... etc. He was up-to-date on Construction Regulations for County and City ordinance. Front the Start to Finish, his work ethics is impeccable from removing the old Tile, the material below the tile, Sheetrock and underlayment. He kept the area clean at the end of the day. I'm continuously referring Roland to Friends and Family as well as having him work on other Projects that I have lined up.
